I want to
conclude this teaching about Elisha’s breakthrough by re-defining breakthrough.
A breakthrough has been rightly defined as opportunity meets preparation. It
has also been rightly defined as crossing through barriers and oppositions. So
also breakthrough is being in the right place at the right time. I want to add
another definition which is acquiring the truth and making use of it. Elisha
needed the double portion of Elijah’s anointing. Elijah told him what he needed
to do to get it. He did it and got it. That is the summary of Elisha’s
breakthrough.
If you have
found Jesus, you are a breakthrough!!! This breakthrough is activated by
continually sitting at His feet. John 1:14 says, “The Word became flesh and
made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and
only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” In Luke 10:42,
Jesus said to Martha, “but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has
chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” You are just a
piece of information away from your breakthrough.
If you are
looking for a breakthrough it means you are looking for a piece of information,
a truth about a matter. May you find it and when you have found it may you use
it in Jesus name.
Prayer for today: Oh Lord show me something and let me hear something that will establish
my breakthrough in Jesus name.
