“And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.” Matthew 14:29 KJV.
Stretch yourself like Peter, who dared to step out of the boat and walk on water toward Jesus (Matthew 14:29). God calls you to leave the comfort of what feels safe and familiar. The life of faith is not for those who choose to remain normal or ordinary. Jesus Himself was not “normal,” even the winds and the sea obeyed Him, leaving people in awe (Mark 4:41). Abraham left his homeland without knowing where he was going simply because God called him (Genesis 12). Isaac sowed in famine and reaped a hundredfold, defying natural circumstances (Genesis 26). When the Spirit of the Lord comes upon you, you become another person entirely (1 Samuel 10:6), just as David, a young shepherd, rose to slay Goliath when warriors trembled in fear (1 Samuel 17:32-33).
In the second half of 2025 and beyond, refuse to settle for a life that looks like everyone else’s. Be “those who have turned the world upside down” (Acts 17:6). Let a holy restlessness propel you beyond limits (Genesis 27:40). Run with a God-given vision that will stretch your faith and unlock the extraordinary in you. Step out of the boat, for God is ready to uphold you even amid the storms!
Prophetic word: The Lord says, “This is your season to step out and walk on waters you have never dared before. Do not fear the winds or the waves, for My hand is stretched out to sustain you. I am calling you higher, into realms of faith that will astonish many. You shall be as David before Goliath, as Isaac sowing in famine, as Peter defying the laws of nature, because I, the Lord, am with you. I declare that abnormal favor and divine exploits shall mark your path. You shall not be confined to the ordinary, for My Spirit is upon you to make you another person. Run with the vision I place in your spirit, for I will enlarge your borders and bring you into your Rehoboth, your place of room and flourishing.”
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for the call to stretch beyond my comfort zone. Just as You empowered Peter to walk on water, empower me to step out in bold faith. Let Your Spirit rest upon me, transforming me into another person for Your glory, as You did for Saul (1 Samuel 10:6). Break every limitation of fear and normalcy off my life. Let me be counted among those who turn the world upside down (Acts 17:6). Plant in me a divine restlessness, and give me a vision that stretches me into new realms of favor and fruitfulness. Lord, uphold me with Your righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10) and lead me to my Rehoboth, where I will flourish. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
