“Jesus
answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of
the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” John 3:5
God’s intervention in the affairs of men is through His Word
and His Spirit. There is no way a man’s life can remain the same if the word of
God comes to him and the Spirit of God rest on him. If you are desperate for a
change in any area of your life, what you need is an encounter with the Word
and the Spirit of God. The Word will help you to renew your mind while the
Spirit will empower you for the new life. Until a man’s mind is renewed, his
life cannot be renewed.
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed
by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable,
and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2
“And the Spirit of the Lord will come upon thee, and thou
shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.” 1 Samuel 10:6
Beloved, a man who is genuinely saved has encountered the
Word and the Spirit. However, there is more beyond salvation in the work of the
Word and the Spirit in the life of a man. The Word and the Spirit bring a man
into the life of the kingdom of God on earth. If you are struggling in any area
of your life, what you need is the Word and the Spirit of God (Genesis 1:1-3, Ezekiel
1:1-3, 1 John 5:4-8, Act 10:38, Luke 5:1-6, Matthew 8:4-10)
May you experience a newness of life in Jesus name.
Prayer for today: Oh God, let Your Word
come unto me and let Your Spirit rest upon me in Jesus name.
