Prevailing prayer

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6

Prevailing prayer is effective and will always secure an answer from God. Prevailing prayer is a prayer of faith. It is a prayer that is based on the fact that God is alive and will always reward those who seek Him diligently. Prevailing prayer is always offered with a firm belief that the answer will come. Prevailing prayer is a prayer enabled by the Holy Spirit.

“So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees, And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times.” 1 Kings 18:42-43
“But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.” James 1:6-7

To offer prevailing prayer, you must first believe that what you are praying for is a will of God. You must also believe in the unlimited capability of God to answer the prayer. You must be diligent to persist until you see the result of the prayer. You must depend on the Holy Spirit to help you. Elijah prayed and asked his servant to go and check for the sign of the rain because he was confident that the rain will come through his prayers. The story of the persistent widow in Luke 18, the story of Jacob in Genesis 32, the story of Anna in 1 Samuel 1 and the story of Bartimeus in Mark 10 revealed how to offer a prevailing prayer that gets results.

May you prevail in prayer today and always in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I receive the passion to offer a prevailing prayer for my life and destiny in Jesus name.
