“Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword,
and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord
of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.” 1 Samuel

Making a decree in the name of the
Lord cannot be overemphasized in dealing with strongholds and strongmen in our
lives. Beloved, you need to be convincingly convinced that you are anointed and
that you can speak in the name of the Lord and see results. Such a bold
declaration is a decree that can uproot any strongman or stronghold no matter
how long they have been in place. David said those words against Goliath in the
name of the Lord, knowing fully well that he was anointed. Consequently,
Goliath was wasted using an ordinary instrument despite his strength, armory,
experience, and height.
“Thou shalt also decree a thing,
and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.”
Job 22:28
“Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever
ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose
on earth shall be loosed in heaven.’ Matthew 18:18
There is power in your spoken
words. This kind of faith-filled words do not depend on your size, skills, and
qualifications, they depend on the unlimited size of your God. When you speak,
you must expect results and it will be so.
May you continually see the
results of your declaration in Jesus name.
