“And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon
Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father
which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon
this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail
against it.” Mathew 16:17-18
You are a threat to the gates of
hell. Your destiny, your assignment is a threat to the gates of hell. They will
not just watch you cause havoc. They will dispatch strongmen to maintain a
stronghold in your life. The effect of this attack can be clearly seen most
times but it needs revelation prayers to deal with them. Prayer is effective and
powerful but it must be specific and based on revelation to dismantle strongmen
that want to disgrace your life. When the battle against your destiny is tough,
ask God what you should do and don’t stop until you have received a clear word
from him. Flesh and blood cannot handle the gates of hell; it takes a revelation
from the Holy Spirit.
“And David enquired of the Lord,
saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine
hand? And the Lord said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the
Philistines into thine hand……. And the Philistines came up yet again, and
spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim. And when David enquired of the
Lord, he said, Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come
upon them over against the mulberry trees.” 2 Samuel 5:19-23
There is a specific prayer point
for a specific battle, ask God for it. What worked yesterday may not work
today, ask God for fresh revelation. If you have instructions from the Lord of
Host who has never lost a battle, you cannot lose any battle.
This battle shall not swallow you
in Jesus name.
Prayer for today: It was a rod that
parted the red sea, it was a noise that sank the Jericho wall, Oh God give me
an instrument that will terminate my battles in Jesus name.
