“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ
Jesus concerning you.” 1 Thess 5:18
Thanksgiving, praise and prayer
have power to switch on the light in the midst of the darkness of the nighttime.
Maintaining your gratitude towards God and spending time with Him in prayer is
the key to ensuring continuous light when the night is prolonged. It does not
matter how thick the darkness of a night is, as long as there is light, the
darkness loses its power.
“And at midnight Paul and Silas
prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly
there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were
shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were
loosed.” Acts 16:25-26
“Let the saints be joyful in glory:
let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their
mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand.” Psalms 149:5-6
If you engage the power of
thanksgiving, praise and prayer when the nighttime is prolonged, two things
will happen. Firstly, you will have access to a word, a promise from God that
will see you through. Secondly, God will appear to shake the root of the darkness
in your life and to terminate the nighttime.
Let your nighttime expire and let
your daytime begin in Jesus name.
Prayer for today: As I pray with
thanksgiving and praise, Oh God arise and appear in my nighttime in Jesus name.
