Self-evaluation

“So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” Psalm 90:12

Today ends the first month in 2020, it is important to do a self-evaluation in order to establish that you are still on track concerning your goals and plans for this year. Success is not an accident; it is a product of successful daily habits. Identify actions you need to continue and actions you need to review for you to make the year profitable.

“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?” 2 Cor 13:5
“And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!” Luke 15:17

Both human and divine actions are needed to achieve success. Walking with God requires obeying Him in all things. Daily habits for success include making fellowship with God a priority. It also involves making personal development a priority. Lastly, taking actions based on knowledge toward your goal. Let us take a proper evaluation of the last 31 days for us to make the necessary adjustment that will make the year count.

Failure is over forever in every area of your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, lead me in the way I should go and teach me to profit in Jesus name.

Prevailing with your words

“Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” Job 22:28

You must engage the power of bold declaration if you want to prevail. What you declare or decree matters to your mountains, to your storms and to your Goliath. What you declare also matters for you to possess your possessions. A bold declaration must go ahead of your physical actions if you want to prevail. Your declaration has the power to set in motion the spiritual force you need to prevail.

“This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.” 1 Samuel 17:46
“And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.” Numbers 13:30

Jesus declared to the storm to be still (Mark 4). He also cursed a fig tree (Mark 11). He healed and delivered many simplify by declaring a word either on the situation or on the root of the problem. He said to us in Mark 11:23 that faith-filled words will always handle our mountains. David killed Goliath with his words first before using the sling and the stone. Only those who declared that possessing the Promised Land was possible actually possessed it.

May you prevail with your words today and always in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I declare to the storm in my life to be still, and the blessings meant for me to come in Jesus name.

Prevailing prayer

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6

Prevailing prayer is effective and will always secure an answer from God. Prevailing prayer is a prayer of faith. It is a prayer that is based on the fact that God is alive and will always reward those who seek Him diligently. Prevailing prayer is always offered with a firm belief that the answer will come. Prevailing prayer is a prayer enabled by the Holy Spirit.

“So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees, And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times.” 1 Kings 18:42-43
“But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.” James 1:6-7

To offer prevailing prayer, you must first believe that what you are praying for is a will of God. You must also believe in the unlimited capability of God to answer the prayer. You must be diligent to persist until you see the result of the prayer. You must depend on the Holy Spirit to help you. Elijah prayed and asked his servant to go and check for the sign of the rain because he was confident that the rain will come through his prayers. The story of the persistent widow in Luke 18, the story of Jacob in Genesis 32, the story of Anna in 1 Samuel 1 and the story of Bartimeus in Mark 10 revealed how to offer a prevailing prayer that gets results.

May you prevail in prayer today and always in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I receive the passion to offer a prevailing prayer for my life and destiny in Jesus name.

Enforcing your birthright

“For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph's:” 1 Chronicle 5:2

You have birthrights. Even as a Christian, your second birth gives you birthrights in the kingdom of God. However, what is the importance of a right you have but you cannot enjoy? The scepter belongs to those who prevail and not those who have birthrights. That is why you must prevail with God and with men if you want to enforce your birthright. Reuben was supposed to have the birthright, but he lost it to iniquity, he slept with his father’s wife (1 Chronicle 5:1). Joseph got the birthright, but he could not enforce it, he did not prevail. He had the document but did not have its reality. However, Judah prevailed; he had the reality, although he did not have the document.

“I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth.” Ecclesiastes 10:7
“And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.” Genesis 32:28

As a Christian, many things are yours according to the scriptures, but where is the reality in your life? You must prevail with God and with men if you want to enjoy what has been written concerning you. Jacob was blessed years before he entered the reality of the blessing. Until he prevailed, he was living as if he had not been blessed.

May you prevail to experience the blessings of God in your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God empower me to prevail with You and with men in Jesus name.

Enforcing your breakthrough

“And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.” Genesis 32:28

Most times, both physical and spiritual efforts are needed to enforce your breakthroughs. You must not give up in prayer, neither should you give up putting efforts towards your goal. Jacob in Genesis 32 was on the verge of a major breakthrough. He knew what he wanted. An Angel appeared in the form of a man and wrestled with him. Jacob held tightly onto him earnestly demanding for the blessing. In the process, the Angel dislocated his joints, but Jacob would not let go. The Angel finally gave him what he wanted declaring that he had prevailed with God and with men.

“And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.” Genesis 32:25.
“And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.” Exodus 17:11

You will need to pray through to experience a breakthrough, but you will also need to act physically. You must be prepared to do what you need to do until you get the desired results. In their first battle against the Amalekites. Moses was doing the praying while Joshua was doing the physical battle. Moses'' hand must be held up for them to prevail. I want to add also that Joshua must also do the fighting. If he should run away from the battle despite the fact that Moses' hand was held up, they would still lose the battle.

May God give you the grace to follow-through both spiritually and physically for your breakthrough in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I receive the power to prevail for a turnaround breakthrough in my life in Jesus name.

More of you, Lord

“Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:3

If heaven is your goal, you must desire more of God and His Spirit daily. You cannot really reach a place of spiritual satisfaction; you must hunger for more. More of His word. More of His Spirit. More of His wisdom. More of His grace. More of His power. More of His favor. Poverty in the spirit is an indication of a need for the fullness of the Spirit. If you make room, God will keep on pouring into you.

“And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.” 2 Kings 4:6
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.” John 7:37

To demonstrate poverty in the spirit, the first step is to make fellowship with God first in your daily life. Do not be satisfied each day, unless you are convincingly convinced that you carry the presence of God’s Spirit. Secondly, you must obey God in all things. Attend attentively to God’s instruction to you. Thirdly, keep on asking for the fullness of His Spirit and His wisdom to handle each day. You cannot have God and not prevail over the world and its wickedness.

May you experience God daily in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, fill me daily with your wisdom and power in Jesus name.

One thing is needful 2

“And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:41-42

You do not need to be careful and troubled by many things; you only need one thing to take care of all your trouble, a word from the Lord. It is unfortunate that most Christians will rather run helter-skelter than to wait at Jesus feet and receive a word they need to deal with the storms of their lives. Some will even wait on men to get a word for them rather than waiting on God.

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4

God has a word for you. God’s strategy in dealing with the man’s situation has not changed. He changes the lives of men by His Word and His Spirit. If you will not be tired of waiting on Him, you will always have a word to deal with your situation. Make the study of the word, prayer and worship a personal habit in your life. Do not neglect the bible study and Sunday school in your church. Learn to receive a word from Him first and run with the word. Most importantly, if you really want to make heaven, you need a fresh word daily from the Lord.

May you not have scarcity of the word of God in your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let your Word come unto me in Jesus name.

One thing is needful 1

“But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:42

If you want to finish your Christian race well, it is needful for you to sit at Jesus’ feet and learn. When you submit at Jesus’ feet to learn, you will grow in grace, you will have a clear direction for your life, you will be broken and fit for His use, and you will have the peace of mind (rest unto your soul) in this tempestuous world.

“Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” Matthew 11:29
“And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.” Luke 10:39

Jesus visited Martha and Mary. Martha was busy preparing food while Mary sat at Jesus’ feet to learn. Martha felt that Mary should be there in the kitchen to help but Jesus told her that it was important to sit and learn from Him. Jesus did not condemn the service of Martha but it was important to learn first before service. Beloved, how do you respond to bible study both in your closet and in the church? Learning must precede service. In the place of learning, you will obtain the word you need for your Christian life.

May you humble yourself to learn the way of the Lord.

Prayer for today: Oh God help me to put the study of Your word first in my life in Jesus name.

The danger of looking back

“And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62

When you have decided your destination, do not look back until you get there. Go for your goal with all your heart and your strength. If you keep looking back, you will soon find a way to go there. If you keep on looking for a reason why you should quit, you will soon find one. Discouragement may come in the way, encourage yourself and cry unto God to help you. Nevertheless, never look back, the trophy is in front of you.

“And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.” Hebrews 11:15
“But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.” Genesis 19:26

The direction of your “looking” has the power to tell your mind what it should do because your eyes is a major gate to your mind. Whatever has entered your mind has entered your life. If you keep your eyes on the goal, your mind will create the path to get you there. That is why you should not look back. Jesus said no one that looks back is fit to get to the destination.

May you find the winning path to your destination in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I will accomplish my goals this year in Jesus name.

Destiny questions

“And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.  And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.” Acts 9:5-6

Everyone that wants his or her life to count in this world and for eternity must answer two questions: Who are you, Lord? and What will you have me to do? You must know the person of Jesus and what He wants you to do with your life. Until Saul who later became Paul found answers to these two questions, he was living like a vagabond on the earth. Even though he looked successful among the religious people and lawyers of his time.

“I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.” Job 42:5
“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:19

Your life can never remain the same if you have a personal experience of Jesus. You must go beyond second-hand information and have firsthand information about Jesus through a personal encounter. More importantly, you must have a revelation about Jesus and be born again. Jesus has an assignment for you. You must find it if you want to stop living as one beating the air. He wants to make you into something that will make your life count here and for eternity.

May you find personal answers to these two important questions in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Lord Jesus, reveal yourself to me and show me what you want me to do with my life.

Destiny ingredients

“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.” Luke 2:52

Three ingredients are needed for destiny fulfilment. No one can do without them. These are wisdom, stature, and favor. Not only is it important to have these in your life, but they must also be increasing for consistent progress in life. Even Jesus had to increase in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. It is necessary for everyone to do the same.

“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” Proverbs 4:7
“If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.” Proverbs 24:10
“For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.” Psalm 44:3

Wisdom is the most important ingredient for destiny fulfilment. Evidence of lack of wisdom is struggle and failure (Ecc 10:10,15). Wisdom will get you everything in life including the stature and the favor you need for destiny. The more wisdom you have, the more your capability to handle the issues of life. You cannot afford not to deal wisely in all affairs of life. Winning wisdom is found in the Bible (Joshua 1:8). Specific wisdom can be found in the books and the words of people who have done what you want to do (Prov 13:20). Stature is all about your physical strength, spiritual strength and your level of influence. You must eat well and healthy for physical strength. You must fellowship with God for spiritual strength. You must continually develop yourself for your level of influence to increase. No matter what you do, favor must be present to finish it successfully for you. You need first the favor of God and then the favor of men.

May you increase on every side in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God baptize me with wisdom and favor, and endue me with power form on high in Jesus name.

Go forward

“The Lord our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:” Deuteronomy 1:6

You have dwelled long enough on this level go forward. There are better things ahead of you go forward, Stagnancy stinks go forward. Break free from whatever is holding you down and go forward. Three things are needed to enforce going forward: information, motivation, and action.

“And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:” Exodus 14:15
“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32

God asked me to inform you to go forward. There may be red sea before you, go forward. There may be Jericho wall before you, go forward. If you are ready and willing to go forward, He will take care of the red sea and the Jericho wall. If you make the move to go forward, He will instruct you and lead you to get through all barriers. Be motivated and take action now toward your next level. Read that book now. Do that fasting and prayer now. Call that wise friend now. Enroll for that course now. Start that ministry now. Start that business now. Start writing now. The list goes on……..If you want to see the results you have not seen before, you will have to do what you have not done before.

Receive the power to go forward in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I receive the wisdom and the power to go forward in every area of my life in Jesus name.

A chance with the King

“Wherefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, and said, Send me David thy son, which is with the sheep.” 1 Samuel 16:19

David started playing his harp for the sheep first. Although he was anointed and skillful, his chance to play for the king did not come immediately but it came. I have a word from the Lord for you, the people that matter will start to notice you. You will soon have an opportunity to display what you do for the people that matter.

“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” Proverbs 22:29
“A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.” Proverbs 18:16

Be diligent in what you do, put in your best even if it seems you are obscure to people at this time. Keep on making your skills better. When the opportunity comes, you may not have the time to prepare. If you need training, do it now. If you need to know a better way to get your service done, do it now. If you need to acquire more information or read books, do it now. You will soon have a chance with the King. Hear what the servant that recommended David to the king said, “Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the Lord is with him.” David was giving his best even when he was playing for the sheep.

Get ready, the opportunity you need with the king will manifest early this year in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I declare early breakthrough for my life this year in Jesus name.

Beware of people who….

“And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.” 1 Samuel 17:33

Beware of people who tell you that what God has put in your heart cannot be done. Some of them may mean well not able to see why you will want to leave your comfort zone to pursue a vision. Some may be threatened by the magnitude of the vision God has given you. Others may be interested to pull you down, saying you cannot do it because of your color, your age, your sex, your height, your qualification, or even your background. If you want to do something great with your life, you need people that will encourage and support you.

“And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle.” 1 Samuel 17:28

You yourself must be supportive of others who have visions, at least encourage them even if you cannot give anything. This will make you to be able to attract people that will support you also. In any case, you must know that it is never too late to turn your life around and pursue a significant thing with your life.  Also, you can always achieve any vision if you would find out what it takes to get it done and do it.

May you receive an encouragement to do something worthwhile with your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Deliver my soul, Oh God, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue in Jesus name.

One day at a time

“Give us this day our daily bread.” Matthew 6:11

It does not matter how big your goal or your vision is, if you do something about it daily you will conquer it. You can finish an elephant, if you are taking it piece by piece. Breaking your activities into steps and dealing with each step at a time can help you finish a giant project on time. Someone said you could always divide the project (the vision) into smaller ones and conquer them. If you make your day count, your entire life will count.

“And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” Luke 9:23
“Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.” Exodus 16:4

Winning in life is a daily affair. Personal development is a daily affair. Breakthrough is a daily affair. In order to handle a lifetime well, you only have to learn to handle a day well.  Sit down, think, pray, and decide what you must do daily in order to achieve your goals.

May you experience divine visitation daily in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God give me the wisdom to handle every day of my life successfully in Jesus name.

God will help you

“For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.” Isaiah 41:10

You are not alone, God is with you and He has promised to help you. The scripture is clear about the available help for all His own. If you belong to God, you can be confident that you will not have to do what you need to do alone. God will help you all the way.  The grace, the wisdom, the anointing to make things happen is on you right now.

“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever.” John 14:16 (NIV)
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

It does not matter how it looks, the Holy Spirit is with you and He will help you. Your goals may look bigger than you. The vision that God has given may look impossible. You may be feeling inadequate to get the work done. The Holy Spirit is with you to help you, to teach you, to guide you and to empower you. You must trust God with the whole of your heart. You must acknowledge God all the way and not lean on your own understanding.

I see you experiencing supernatural breakthrough this month in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God help me, in Jesus name.

Two kinds of people

“The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.” Ecclesiastes 10:15

Ignorance is a major but temporary problem. The solution is to get enlightened by asking the people that know the right question. There are two kinds of people in the world: The people that know and the people that do not know. The ignorant and the enlightened. The mark of ignorance is struggle, hardship, and frustration. When anything looks hard, more light or information is needed. The price of enlightenment is far lower than the cost of ignorance. Everyone is seeking to know something.

“And the king said, Is the young man Absalom safe? And Ahimaaz answered, When Joab sent the king's servant, and me thy servant, I saw a great tumult, but I knew not what it was. And the king said unto him, Turn aside, and stand here. And he turned aside, and stood still.” 2 Samuel 18:29-30
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” 2 Timothy 2:15

It takes adequate light (knowledge) to set the right goals and it takes adequate knowledge to accomplish them. Seeking the knowledge you need is key to a breakthrough life. Do not be ignorant of the word and the will of God for your life. Do not be ignorant of the environment you live and the people that surround you. Do not be ignorant in your chosen profession. And most importantly do not be ignorant of yourself and of God. Seek to know what you want and how to get it.

May you cross from the camp of people that do not know into the camp of people that know in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God set me on the path of the light to terminate all darkness in any area of my life in Jesus name.

Define clearly your goal

“And a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field: and the man asked him, saying, What seekest thou?” Genesis 37:15

If you have not defined clearly what you want to achieve, you will not be able to focus your strength. If you don’t have a destination in mind, you will find yourself anywhere. If you don’t have a clear goal, you will just wander around wasting the precious time that God has given you. It is important for you to set clear goals early and be committed to them.

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13
“And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!” 2 Samuel 23:15

What mark are you pressing toward? What do you really want with your life? What has God shown you to pursue with your life? You must answer these important questions if you want your life to count and exciting. When you have answered these questions, you can now plan to achieve them. If someone has done similar things before you can study him. If you need personal development, as you will surely do, you identify exactly what training you need and you go for it. You have what it takes to do something great but you must define clearly your goals.

May God show you what He wants you to do with your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God help me to define clearly my goals for this year in Jesus name.

Mind shift

“And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.” Hebrews 11:15

Any progress or breakthrough you desire must first happen in your mind. If it has not happened in your mind, it will never happen in your life. You must have a mind shift for you to have a life shift. If you have not crossed over into 2020 in your mind, you are yet there. You cannot keep looking back and go forward.

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.” Proverbs 23:7
“But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.” Genesis 19:26

Your mind needs first information and motivation, and then revelation. Your mind breakthrough takes place at the place of revelation. You must cultivate a listening mind, a reading mind and more importantly a meditative mind, if you want to experience a mind shift that will shift your life. Joshua 1:8 says, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” See also Romans 12:2.

May God give you a mind hungry for the truth of God’s word in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God let my mind receive what will make my life move forward in Jesus name.

There is a room for you!

“And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the Lord hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.” Genesis 26:22.

God has a room for you; you must believe it and find it. Your fruitfulness depends on finding the room God has for you. In order to locate your own room there are few things you need to know and do.
1.              A life without goals is stagnant while a life with wrong goals is frustrating.
2.              You need to identify your uniqueness, your passion, your gift and set your goals based on them.
3.              You are good at something, find it and pursue it with the whole of your heart and mind.
4.              If you have found what you should pursue with your life, be determined and persistent until you succeed.
5.              The fact that there are challenges does not mean that you are not in the right place doing the right thing.
6.              If you are pursuing the right goals and do not give up, you will eventually land in the room God has made for you.
Isaac was instructed by God to stay in Gerar despite the famine. He stayed and prospered in the land. When he started digging wells the enemy opposed and strove with him but he continued until God made room for him.

I sense in my spirit that you are about to shine, your effort is about to yield a breakthrough because God is making room for you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God arise and make room for my breakthrough and manifestation in Jesus name.

You can begin again

“And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?” Exodus 3:11

Don’t give up on your passion or your dream.  Even if you have failed before, pick it up again. Moses in our text today, failed in his passion to save Israel. The reason for his failure at that time was wrong timing and the assignment needed a spiritual authority which he did not have in his first attempt. It took God some preaching to convince Moses to go back there and get the results he had wanted all his life.  God asked me to tell you this morning, you can still get the result you desired if you will go back to the assignment.

“Howbeit the hair of his head began to grow again after he was shaven.” Judges 16:22

Samson lost his source of strength to his major weakness which was women. However, his hair grew again, his source of supernatural strength returned and he did greater exploit at the point of death than when he was strong, active and moving about. Beloved, something might have gone wrong in your attempts but if you know deep down within you that it is what you are supposed to do, you can begin again! You can start that business again, you can start that ministry again, you can work on that invention again, you can pursue that career again, you can go back to that university again. Yes, you can begin again. Find out what you did wrong before, consult with people that have done it before, spend time with God who can turn things around for your good BUT please don’t give up on the dream!
May you be inspired to take your dream and passion back in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God help me to succeed where I have failed before, teach me what to do and lead me in the way I should go in Jesus name.

Dare to see

“And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.” Genesis 13:14-15

Not all that your two eyes can see are all that are available to see. Dare to see beyond your nose and beyond the limits of your physical eyes. Men of distinctions see with their third and fourth eyes, the inner eyes. As a result, they create new things, dare new height and challenge the status scopes. Men that see are bold and confident.

“I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” Habakkuk 2:1-2

If you are tired of your present level, you must dare to see. What you cannot see, you cannot possess. What you cannot see, you cannot conceive; what you cannot conceive you cannot deliver. You can only run accurately with a vision. When Gehasi could not see correctly, Elisha had to pray that God should open his eyes. “And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.” 2 Kings 6:17. The moment he saw what he could not see, his fear disappeared.

I ask God to open your eyes to see the impossible so that you can do the impossible in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God, open my eyes that I may see in Jesus name.

How to seek God

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:10-13

Seeking precedes finding. Jeremiah revealed to us the mystery behind seeking and finding God. This I will simply explore this morning. How desperate are you to find God? You cannot find God and remain the same. It does not matter the history or the present situation, there is always a radical transformation in the life of a person who finds God, both physically and spiritually. May you seek and find God early in Jesus name. Three actions are important in seeking God. The first is trust, the second is pray, the third is wholeheartedly.

Trust: God wants to give you an expected end. You can trust God with your life. You can be confident that He can take good care of you. If you don’t trust God, you cannot seek Him successfully. God has a good plan for you. His plan may be different from yours, but I can assure you that His plan is the best for you. God can be trusted more than your mother that gave birth to you (Isaiah 49:15-16)
Pray: If you trust God, you will turn to Him in prayer. Jeremiah said if you trust Him and pray, He will answer you. We have many promises from Him that He will hear us: Jeremiah 33:3, Mathew 7:7, Luke 18:7. When seeking God in prayer, never stop until you have been visited by Him. If you trust Him, you will stay long enough in prayer for Him to visit you.
Wholeheartedly: You must seek him with an undivided heart (mind). The enemy of wholeheartedness is alternative. If you have an alternative you cannot seek God with your whole heart. When you seek Him in prayer don’t let your mind waver. James 1:6-8. You want to get to the land where you will find God, you must seek Him with your whole heart and not a divided heart. Don’t put a leg in the water and another on the land. You must put both leg in the water if you want the water to divide.

May God visit you today and change your story in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God give me a personal encounter that will change my life in Jesus name.

Seek God early

“I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.”  Proverbs 8:17

Seek God early and with the whole of your heart. If you do, you will find God.  You cannot find God and not enjoy His intervention in your life. You cannot find God and not experience a supernatural increase. Apart from seeking Him early as this year just begins, make it a habit to seek Him early every day. When you find God early, you will gain access to His word, His glory, and His power. When you seek God early, it is an indication that you love God and you totally depend on Him.

“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13
“And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.” Mark 1:35

God has a daily plan for you; find it by seeking Him early. God has a weekly plan for you; find it by seeking Him early. God has a yearly plan for you; find it be seeking Him early. Take hold of the day by seeking God early. Walking in God’s plan is like walking in the light, you cannot miss your expectation. His plan is to give you an expected end.

May you seek God early every day this year in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God reveal Yourself early to me this year so that I may receive Your wisdom and power throughout the year in Jesus name.

Only believe

“Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”  Matthew 17:19-20

Jesus told the disciple that the reason why they could not do what they were supposed to do was their unbelief.  In this year of divine intervention, you must deal with unbelief for you to see God doing great things through you and on your behalf. Jesus went on to tell them that if they had faith, nothing shall be impossible unto them. Beloved, all things are possible for you, only believe.

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17
“Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” Matthew 17:21

Beloved you cannot afford to walk in unbelief because faith is a significant part of our Christian life. We live by faith (Romans 1:17). We walk by faith and not by sight (2 Cor 5:7). We pray by faith (Mark 11:24). We overcome by faith (1 John 5:4).  We subdue evil by faith (Eph 6:16). We move mountains by faith (Mark 11:23). We please God by faith (Heb 11:6). We inherit the promise by faith (Heb 6:12). Beloved, build your faith so that you can do this year what you could not do in the past years. Engage in meditation on the word because faith comes by hearing God’s word (Romans 10:17). Engage in prayers and fasting to grow your faith (Matthew 17:21). Begin to speak to your mountains, speak to your dry bones and call those things which are not as though they were in the name of Jesus.

What you could not do before, begin to do now in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I believe, I receive my breakthrough in Jesus name.

Early mercy

“O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.” Psalm 90:14

When mercy is operating in your life, you will always have cause to rejoice and be glad. Mercy opens doors for favor. Psalm 102:13 says, “Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favor her, yea, the set time, is come.” Mercy brings timely favor.  When mercy appears judgment is suspended because mercy rejoices over judgment (James 2:13).  The thief on the right side of Jesus received mercy and got a place in paradise with Jesus, despite the fact that he committed the same offense as the thief on the left side (Luke 23:43).

“When a man's ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.” Proverb 16:7
“And God came to Laban the Syrian in a dream by night, and said unto him, Take heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.” Genesis 31:24

Mercy makes your way to please the Lord. Mercy makes your enemy to be at peace with you. Mercy brings a breakthrough. Mercy is what makes your “willing” and your “running” to bring results. Romans 9:16 says, “So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.” When you obtain the mercy of God, He will fight against your enemy. Psalm 136:15, “ But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea: for his mercy endureth for ever.”  When you touch God, He will release His mercy into your life (Gen 42: 28—Gen 33:4). Mercy is God prerogative, but it can be attracted by showing mercy to others and by praying through. Matthew 5:6 says,” Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.”
May you obtain God’s mercy early this year so that every day of the year will be filled with rejoicing and gladness.
Prayer for today: Oh God, satisfy me early with your mercy this year in Jesus name.
