The Year 2008 Not Over Yet

“In the year that Evilmerodach became king of Babylonia, he showed kindness to King Jehoiachin of Judah by releasing him from prison. This happened on the twenty-seventh day of the twelfth month of the thirty-seventh year after Jehoiachin had been taken away as prisoner.” 2kings 25:27.

Hear the word of the Lord, this year is not over yet, it will still deliver your expectation. May be you are believing God for something, is it the salvation of a loved one or spiritual blessing? Is it promotion or material blessing? Is it the fruit of the womb or marital blessing? Is it healing or deliverance? Beloved, whatever it is that you are believing God for, don’t give up, God will still visit you this year in the name of Jesus.

Jehoiachin had been a prisoner for 37years but his miracle came in December 27 of a particular year. He thought he would end that year in captivity but God turned his situation around. If you read the next verse, he was not only released but was also blessed. I declare to you that your expectation shall not be cut off in the name of Jesus.

Cast all your burden on Jesus because He cares for you.

Strategize

“And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.” Luke 19:3-4

Sometimes you may have a God-given goal to accomplish and yet, the environment is not conducive and your personal attribute is not favorable; then what do you do? Hear the word of the Lord, you can still accomplish your goal, only strategize.

Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus, that is worthwhile, isn’t it? Unfortunately the crowd was much, that is, the environment was harsh and also he was a short man - his personal attribute was not supportive either. Many would have given up but not Zacchaeus, he strategized: he found a Sycamore tree ahead, ran ahead of the crowd and climbed it. As a result Jesus located him and he was a host to Jesus the same day.

Beloved, there is a way to beat your limitations and accomplish your goal, find it. You may have to pray, think or study, in any case search it out and strategize.

Your Destiny shall manifest in Jesus name.

Experts’ report vs God’s report

“And said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives. Nevertheless the centurion believed the master and the owner of the ship, more than those things which were spoken by Paul.” Act 27:10-11.

When the reports of Experts contradict God’s report, discard experts’ report and believe God’s report.

On the voyage to Rome, Paul perceived trouble ahead but the owners of the ship, the experts said they should continue. The Centurion accepted the experts’ advice and discarded Paul’s advice. As a result the voyage went through trouble and they almost lost their lives.

A Pastor friend told me a pathetic story of a couple who are believing God for the fruit of the womb. They had a surgery scheduled for the woman for fibroid. But the woman remembered that she had missed her period for two months. The experts adviced that they should go ahead with the surgery without doing another scan. The Couple so much trusted the expert that they did not even tell their Pastor. The Doctor apologized to them last week that his conscience would not allow him to rest because as he started the surgery, he discovered a life baby in the womb of the woman.

Beloved, it is better to obey God rather than men. It is also more blessed to trust God rather than men.
Remain blessed.

Principle vs Sentiment

“Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.” Act 10:34-35.

God is a principled God. He does not operate by sentiment. When you walk in His word, you move Him. David learned in a hard way that crying does not move him but faith does. In 1Samuel 30, when they had cried and nothing happened, he sought to know the will of God concerning the situation. And when he acted on God’s word, He received victory.

Beloved, God does not expect you to operate by sentiment but by the principle of His word. Someone says it is detrimental to be sentimental. Action based on the principle of God’s word will make you to please God, protect you against the enemy, and give you success at all times (Joshua 1:8).

In Act 10, Although Cornelius was not saved, he sought the Lord in fasting, praying and giving of alms, and God accepted him. God sent Peter to preach salvation to him. God saved him and his household and also baptized them in the Holy Spirit. If you do what God commanded, you will be accepted and He will ensure that you get what you need even when you never ask for it.
Remain blessed

Bible Alive

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” 2Tim 3:16

I had just read the scripture to our congregation last Sunday when I asked how many of them have heard God in the recent times. Nobody raised his hand. I discovered that people are waiting for God to speak to them audibly before they can be assured that God is talking to them. The people of God will begin to see the greatest breakthrough of their lives if they will take the Bible as God speaking to them. Faith has no root unless God has spoken. But the truth is that you can always know what God is saying by going to your Bible. When you take what you have read in the Bible as God speaking and you act on it, you will see the supernatural acts of God.

I read one testimony about ArchBishop Benson Idahosa of blessed memory when he was an ordinary church member. His Pastor read and preached from Mathew 10:8 that Jesus commanded his disciples to raise the dead among other things He commanded them to do. He asked his Pastor whether he had raised a dead person before and the Pastor said No; he asked whether he could do it and the Pastor said Yes. Acting on this scripture, he started looking for a dead person to bring back to life. He eventually got one and through prayer based on the written word of God, the dead was brought back to life.
Beloved, do you want to hear God? Then take your Bible and see God talking to you.
You are saved to do great exploit!

How to Knock Out Your Trouble!

“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Mathew 17:20

Have you ever noticed that no matter how big a problem is in the Bible God always proffer little solution just like a mustard seed faith to move a mountain of trouble? God’s answer to man’s problem is always the often neglected or seemingly foolish measure. It was a rod that parted the red sea for the Israelites to pass on the dry land. David killed the giant Goliath with a sling and a stone. It was a little oil that saved a Prophet’s widow from the creditors. It was only seven times bath in the Jordan River that healed Naman’s leprosy. A touch delivered the woman with the issue of blood from twelve years old trouble. A word from the Lord was what delivered Peter from all nights struggle. The friends of the bridegroom at the marriage in Cana of Galilee had to fetch water to save him from the reproach of the finished wine.

Are you presently facing a trouble? I don’t care how long it has been but I care to announce to you that you can knock it out! All you need is an instruction, a word from the Lord. Let me tell you how to get this: Don’t be afraid but worship God, give Him praise and thank Him; speak to the trouble and then ask God for a specific instruction on the issue. Keep on doing these with confidence and expectation until you seethe result.

You will not be disappointed; for your shame you shall have double in Jesus name.

A Must to Have

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” Daniel 11:32

Two things are common to both Joseph and Daniel. One of these is that both of them became leaders in a strange land where they entered as Slaves. The other is that both of them could not do without God. Both of them had such a relationship with God that they heard what others could not hear, knew what others could not know, had insights that were not available to others and so they became rulers in strange lands. Joseph would not trade his relationship with God for anything not even for a sinful relationship with his master’s wife. He knew that if God was with him, he would survive any situation. Daniel’s life also proved to us that a man that has God cannot be eaten by Lions no matter how hungry they are.

Beloved, God is a must to have for us to rule in this world today. We must get to the level where we won’t give up our relationship with God for anything in this world. This is the level at which we can get the best from God for our destinies and for people around us.

Separate time to know God because grace and mercy flow towards a man who has the knowledge of God through Jesus Christ. “For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.” Psalm 107:9
