Prevail for Your Birthright 2

“Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:13 KJV

The new birth introduces a believer into a divine inheritance. When you are born of God, you receive spiritual birthrights that are not produced by human effort or natural lineage but by the will and grace of God. These birthrights include righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17). They include victory over the world (1 John 5:4), prosperity through Christ’s redemptive work (2 Corinthians 8:9), and a sound mind free from the bondage of fear (2 Timothy 1:7). They also include healing through the stripes of Christ (1 Peter 2:24), the blessings of Abraham through redemption (Galatians 3:13–14), the fruits of the Spirit that shape godly character (Galatians 5:22–23), and the gifts of the Spirit that empower believers for service (1 Corinthians 12:4).

Yet, as with every inheritance in the kingdom of God, these rights must be enforced through spiritual engagement. The believer must prevail in prayer to experience the fullness of what has already been given through the new birth. Jesus instructed His disciples to wait in Jerusalem until they were endued with power from on high (Luke 24:49). Power is necessary to manifest divine inheritance. Likewise, the apostle Paul continually prayed that believers would receive the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God (Ephesians 1:16–18). Revelation is necessary to understand and walk in what has been freely given. When a believer prevails in prayer for both power and revelation, the realities of the kingdom begin to manifest in daily life. What is written in Scripture becomes evident in experience.

Prophetic Word: I declare that you will prevail in the place of prayer. You shall be endued with power from on high, and the spirit of wisdom and revelation shall rest upon you. Every spiritual inheritance given to you through the new birth shall become active in your life. Righteousness, peace, victory, healing, and divine favor shall manifest in your experience. You will walk in the fullness of your birthright, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer: Oh God, endue me with power from on high and grant me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Open my understanding to the inheritance I have received through the new birth. Strengthen my prayer life so that I may prevail and walk in the fullness of every promise You have given. Let every spiritual blessing assigned to my life become a visible reality, in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
