The mystery of receiving!4

And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.” Matthew 25:15 KJV

Beloved, as we conclude this teaching on the mystery of receiving, understand this: God’s capacity to give is limitless, but our capacity to receive is often small. The problem is never with the Giver; it is with the receiver. Scripture reminds us that “you have not, because you ask not” (James 4:2). To increase your receiving, you must first increase your giving. The more you contribute, the more space you create to receive. Sometimes, we receive based on the value we are able to give (Luke 8:1-3). Receiving also flows by favor. Ecclesiastes 9:11 tells us that the race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but time and chance happen to all. When God’s favor rests on a person, doors open, blessings locate them, and men rise to help them. Today, may divine favor speak for you in Jesus’ name. The spirit of wisdom and revelation is another key to receiving (Ephesians 1:17–18). With opened eyes and enlightened understanding, you are able to recognize and take hold of what God has already made available.

And if you feel you need nothing, remember this: every man and woman needs help. No one fulfills destiny alone. God sends help at the right time, sometimes through men. I decree that you will always have timely help in Jesus’ name (Psalm 102:13; Hebrews 4:16).

Prophetic Word: I prophesy over you that you will not lack good gifts from God in Jesus' name.

Prayer: Oh God, I ask that Your presence be with me and empower me to receive all that You have allocated to me in Jesus’ name. Amen.
