“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12 KJV.
No matter how you see it, personal battles are first spiritual before they become physical. This is the reason you must be strong in the Lord; the covenant and power of God must be at work in your life. Paul said in Galatians 6:17, “From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.” Even when any man comes across your way, they have a spiritual assignment in your life, either negative or positive. This is the reason we should know no man after the flesh (2 Cor 5:16). You have got to be spiritual; you yourself are a spirit that lives in a body.
Pray in the Holy Ghost. Spend time with God and be conscious of His presence with you. It does not matter what battle you face; as a Christian, you are on the winning side (1 John 5:4). Even our Lord Jesus, as a man, spent time daily with the Father to handle the battle of the day. When you stay in fellowship with God through prayer, fasting, worship, and studying the Word, you position yourself above the attacks of the enemy. As Romans 8:37 assures us, “In all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” Understand your battles, but more importantly, understand your authority and position in Christ.
Prophetic word: The Lord says, "Do not fear the battle, for I have already declared your victory. What you are facing is a setup for divine promotion. I am opening your eyes to see beyond the natural. The weapons formed against you shall not prosper, for I am your defense, your shield, and your exceeding great reward. I will teach your hands to war and your fingers to fight. I am awakening your spirit to discern and dismantle every hidden agenda of darkness. You are not alone—My presence goes before you, surrounds you, and dwells within you. You are rising from this battle stronger, wiser, and more anointed. The oil of victory is upon your head."
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for the revelation that my battles are not carnal but spiritual. I submit myself under Your mighty hand and put on the full armor You have provided. Lord, strengthen me to stand in the evil day and to discern the true nature of every battle I face. I declare that no man, no situation, no opposition shall define my destiny—only You, my Rock and Defender. Teach me to pray with authority, to war in the Spirit, and to walk in victory daily. Just as You delivered David from the lion, the bear, and Goliath, deliver me from every adversary. I declare that by faith, I overcome the world. I am a victor, not a victim; a conqueror, not a captive. Let every plan of the enemy be exposed and dismantled. Fill me with Your peace, fire, and purpose, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
