“Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;” Colossians 2:14KJV
Something was written against you, but that is not the complete story. The complete story is that what was written against you was taken out of the way at Calvary. At Calvary, Jesus took upon Himself all that the law condemned us for, erasing our sins and liberating us from every charge. No accusation can bind us because Jesus has cleared our record, fulfilling Isaiah 1:18, where God says, "Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow." The power of Christ’s sacrifice removes every obstacle, giving us the freedom to live in the righteousness and victory He has provided. Please, don't allow what has been taken out to stagnate you. This is the time of spiritual legislation (Isaiah 41:21).
This freedom calls for active faith and spiritual authority. As believers, we have the responsibility to stand firm in the victory Christ has won and reject anything that would attempt to hinder us. Isaiah 41:21 encourages us to "present our case" to God, reminding Him of His promises. In the same spirit as Paul when he appealed to Caesar in Acts 25:11, we can approach our Heavenly Father, appealing to His justice and mercy through Christ's sacrifice. Let us boldly "come to the throne of grace" (Hebrews 4:16) and declare that our story is one of freedom, grace, and victory. Jesus has won it all for us; therefore, we live not in condemnation but in the power of His resurrection (Romans 8:1). Enforce the finished work of Christ, claiming your new life and purpose in Him.
Prophetic word: The Lord declares to you today that your past is no longer an obstacle. What was once written against you, every accusation, every failure, and every shame, has been removed by the blood of Jesus. No longer will these things have power over your life, for He has blotted them out and nailed them to His cross. The Lord says, "Step into the freedom I have given you. Do not look back or let the shadows of yesterday define you. I am doing a new thing in your life (Isaiah 43:18-19), breaking every chain that held you captive." This is your time to move forward in faith, to see doors open that no one can shut, and to live in the fullness of the victory I have secured for you. Walk confidently in your purpose, for I have rewritten your story with My grace and favor.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for the powerful, liberating work of the cross. Thank You, Jesus, for blotting out every ordinance written against me and removing every accusation that stood in my way. I receive Your victory over every area of my life, and I declare that nothing from my past will hold me back. Lord, I ask that You strengthen my spirit to walk boldly in the freedom You have given me. Fill me with courage to claim the promises and victories You have prepared for me. Help me to see myself as You see me—redeemed, forgiven, and empowered to fulfill my purpose. In Jesus' name, I come against every hindrance and every fear, and I proclaim that I am a new creation in You. May Your Spirit guide me daily as I live out this victorious life. Amen.
