The pursuit of God 1

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

In a word of uncertainty, covered with darkness, only those who have encountered God can be bold and do exploits (Daniel 11:32). Any man can fail you, but God will not. The pursuit of God precedes the encounter with God. The pursuit of God begins with an undivided heart. God is found by those who seek Him sincerely, deeply, and wholeheartedly. If you have alternatives, you cannot find God. A divided heart cannot sustain a divine encounter. The psalmist declares, “My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord” (Psalm 84:2). This is a deep hunger of the soul for God’s presence. God is found by those who will not take no for an answer (Genesis 32:24).

When a person genuinely seeks God, God reveals Himself. He speaks, guides, strengthens, and fills the seeker with His Holy Spirit. Like the deer that pants after the water brooks, the soul that thirsts for God will never remain empty (Psalm 42:1–2). To find God is to find direction, life, strength, and destiny. His voice and His Spirit are the greatest necessities for a fulfilled life. The Bible reveals that if you find Jesus, you have found God (John 14:8-10; John 1:14, Hebrews 1:2-3).

Prophetic Word: As you seek the Lord with all your heart, you will find Him. The Lord will speak clearly to you, fill you afresh with His Spirit, and guide you into the fullness of your destiny.

Prayer: Father, give me an undivided heart that seeks You sincerely. Create in me a deep hunger for Your presence. Speak to me, fill me with Your Holy Spirit, and guide me into Your purpose for my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
