The Year 2008 Not Over Yet

“In the year that Evilmerodach became king of Babylonia, he showed kindness to King Jehoiachin of Judah by releasing him from prison. This happened on the twenty-seventh day of the twelfth month of the thirty-seventh year after Jehoiachin had been taken away as prisoner.” 2kings 25:27.

Hear the word of the Lord, this year is not over yet, it will still deliver your expectation. May be you are believing God for something, is it the salvation of a loved one or spiritual blessing? Is it promotion or material blessing? Is it the fruit of the womb or marital blessing? Is it healing or deliverance? Beloved, whatever it is that you are believing God for, don’t give up, God will still visit you this year in the name of Jesus.

Jehoiachin had been a prisoner for 37years but his miracle came in December 27 of a particular year. He thought he would end that year in captivity but God turned his situation around. If you read the next verse, he was not only released but was also blessed. I declare to you that your expectation shall not be cut off in the name of Jesus.

Cast all your burden on Jesus because He cares for you.

Strategize

“And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.” Luke 19:3-4

Sometimes you may have a God-given goal to accomplish and yet, the environment is not conducive and your personal attribute is not favorable; then what do you do? Hear the word of the Lord, you can still accomplish your goal, only strategize.

Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus, that is worthwhile, isn’t it? Unfortunately the crowd was much, that is, the environment was harsh and also he was a short man - his personal attribute was not supportive either. Many would have given up but not Zacchaeus, he strategized: he found a Sycamore tree ahead, ran ahead of the crowd and climbed it. As a result Jesus located him and he was a host to Jesus the same day.

Beloved, there is a way to beat your limitations and accomplish your goal, find it. You may have to pray, think or study, in any case search it out and strategize.

Your Destiny shall manifest in Jesus name.

Experts’ report vs God’s report

“And said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives. Nevertheless the centurion believed the master and the owner of the ship, more than those things which were spoken by Paul.” Act 27:10-11.

When the reports of Experts contradict God’s report, discard experts’ report and believe God’s report.

On the voyage to Rome, Paul perceived trouble ahead but the owners of the ship, the experts said they should continue. The Centurion accepted the experts’ advice and discarded Paul’s advice. As a result the voyage went through trouble and they almost lost their lives.

A Pastor friend told me a pathetic story of a couple who are believing God for the fruit of the womb. They had a surgery scheduled for the woman for fibroid. But the woman remembered that she had missed her period for two months. The experts adviced that they should go ahead with the surgery without doing another scan. The Couple so much trusted the expert that they did not even tell their Pastor. The Doctor apologized to them last week that his conscience would not allow him to rest because as he started the surgery, he discovered a life baby in the womb of the woman.

Beloved, it is better to obey God rather than men. It is also more blessed to trust God rather than men.
Remain blessed.

Principle vs Sentiment

“Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.” Act 10:34-35.

God is a principled God. He does not operate by sentiment. When you walk in His word, you move Him. David learned in a hard way that crying does not move him but faith does. In 1Samuel 30, when they had cried and nothing happened, he sought to know the will of God concerning the situation. And when he acted on God’s word, He received victory.

Beloved, God does not expect you to operate by sentiment but by the principle of His word. Someone says it is detrimental to be sentimental. Action based on the principle of God’s word will make you to please God, protect you against the enemy, and give you success at all times (Joshua 1:8).

In Act 10, Although Cornelius was not saved, he sought the Lord in fasting, praying and giving of alms, and God accepted him. God sent Peter to preach salvation to him. God saved him and his household and also baptized them in the Holy Spirit. If you do what God commanded, you will be accepted and He will ensure that you get what you need even when you never ask for it.
Remain blessed
