Covenant issues!

“Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of the Lord. And the Lord answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites.” 2 Samuel 21:1 KJV

Behind every stubborn and persistent problem, there is often a hidden covenant issue that must be addressed. In 2 Samuel 21, Israel suffered famine for three consecutive years until David sought the Lord, who revealed that it was due to Saul’s violation of a covenant with the Gibeonites. When you hear a committed Christian saying, with all the prayers that I am praying, this issue I am dealing with is refusing to go, or the enemy is still finding a way to get into my space, there is a covenant issue to be dealt with. These issues include unknown covenants (Exodus 4:23-26), evil dedication or unknown evil commitments (Joshua 9:11-23), conflicting covenants (1 Samuel 5), and covenant violation (2 Samuel 21:1-2, Joshua 7). If you are dealing with health issues or financial issues that were found in your parents and refused to go from you, pray against unknown covenants. If you are dealing with marital issues of any form, pray against unknown evil marital covenants. If you are dealing with persistent failure, stagnancy, and retrogression, pray against an unknown covenant.

The good news is that believers are under a new and superior covenant through the blood of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 8:6, 9:12-14). Christ has blotted out the handwriting of ordinances that are against us and triumphed over them (Colossians 2:14-15). Just as Gideon had to tear down his father’s altar before his destiny could manifest (Judges 6:25-27), believers must actively renounce any contrary covenants hindering their breakthrough. Whether it is a family pattern of sickness, delay, or failure, the power of the blood of Jesus is sufficient to break every evil dedication and establish divine freedom. With prayer, fasting, and faith in the finished work of Christ, every contrary covenant can be nullified, and God’s perfect will can manifest in our lives.

Prophetic word: I decree and declare over your life that every hidden covenant standing against your breakthrough is exposed and nullified in the name of Jesus! Just as David sought the Lord and received revelation concerning the famine in Israel (2 Samuel 21:1), may the Lord open your eyes to every unseen force resisting your progress. Every evil dedication, unknown agreement, or ancestral covenant working against your health, finances, marriage, or destiny is broken today by the power in the blood of Jesus (Colossians 2:14-15). Every curse of stagnation, delay, and affliction is reversed, and the new covenant in Christ speaks better things over you (Hebrews 12:24). The Lord is releasing you from spiritual bondage and ushering you into divine acceleration. You will testify, for whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36)!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I come before You, acknowledging that You are a covenant-keeping God. By the power of the blood of Jesus, I renounce and break every unknown covenant, evil dedication, and ancestral limitation working against my life. Just as You revealed to David the root of Israel’s famine, expose every hidden agreement hindering my progress and destroy it completely. Let every altar speaking against my destiny be silenced by the blood of Jesus. I declare that I am no longer under any generational yoke but under the new covenant of life, abundance, and victory in Christ. Every spiritual legality the enemy is using against me is canceled. From today, I walk in divine freedom, favor, and breakthrough. Thank You, Lord, for my deliverance and victory. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
