“Give us this day our daily bread.” Matthew 6:11KJV
The Lord has set aside a daily portion for His children, and it is your privilege to claim it. Jesus taught us to pray, "Give us this day our daily bread," reminding us that God provides fresh provision each day—both physical and spiritual. Just as the Israelites gathered manna daily in the wilderness (Exodus 16:4), we are invited to receive God’s provision and Word for our lives. Jesus declared, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4 KJV). Each day carries its unique challenges, opportunities, and grace, and the Lord equips you with everything you need to overcome, rejoice, and fulfill His purpose (Lamentations 3:22-23). Acknowledge each day as a gift from the Lord (Psalm 118:24), and walk in His plan to redeem the day from evil (Ephesians 5:16).
Command your portion by engaging the spiritual disciplines of prayer and declaring God’s promises. Like Job, who declared, "Have you commanded the morning and caused the dawn to know its place?" (Job 38:12-13), take charge of your day through early morning prayers and decrees (Mark 1:35). Our Lord Jesus often prayed through the night, preparing for the new things God was birthing (Luke 6:12; Isaiah 66:7-8). Follow His example and do not leave any day to chance this year. Stand on God’s Word, use the shield of faith to quench every fiery dart (Ephesians 6:16), and wield the sword of the Spirit to establish His will (Ephesians 6:17). In this year of new things, seize each day as an opportunity to experience His goodness, walk in His victory, and claim your portion as a child of God.
Prophetic word: The Lord is saying to you, "This is your season to rise and take full possession of what I have prepared for you daily. Do not leave any blessing, insight, or opportunity unattended. I am the God who goes before you, making rough places smooth and releasing My provision and grace for each day (Isaiah 45:2-3). As you seek Me early, you will find treasures hidden in the day that you would have missed otherwise. Be bold to decree and declare My promises, for I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and nothing shall harm you (Luke 10:19). Command your morning, and you will see My light shine upon your path. This year, I am birthing new things in your life—things that will spring forth suddenly as you trust Me daily (Isaiah 43:19). Walk in faith and expectation, for I am your portion forever (Psalm 73:26)."
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for the daily portion You have set aside for me. I declare that today is the day You have made, and I will rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:24). Lord, I claim every blessing, provision, and Word You have spoken over my life for this day. I command the morning to align with Your will, shaking off every form of wickedness and darkness (Job 38:12-13). Let Your light shine on my path, and let Your favor surround me like a shield (Psalm 5:12). Father, I ask for the grace to seek You early and to walk in step with Your Spirit. I redeem my day from evil and decree that Your plans for me will prevail. Birth new things in my life, Lord, and let Your name be glorified in everything I do. I receive strength, wisdom, and joy for today and every day in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
