“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 (KJV)
I have a message for someone this morning: This year will be good for you because God’s promises remain steadfast and true. No matter how the year may have started, remember that we serve a God who specializes in turning situations around for His glory and your good. The Word reminds us in Romans 8:28 that “all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Just as Joseph declared to his brothers in Genesis 50:20, what the enemy intended for harm, God used for good. Be encouraged, for the Lord will fight for you and turn every trial into a testimony, just as He did for Job, who, after enduring great tribulation, received a double portion of blessing in Job 42:10. Jesus came to destroy the works of the enemy (1 John 3:8) and has already secured your victory. Stand firm in the peace He has given you, knowing that He has overcome the world (John 16:33).
This year, expect God to do great and mighty things in your life. Just as He fulfilled His plans for Jeremiah and Israel in Jeremiah 29:11, declaring a future and a hope, He will bring His purposes to pass in your life. Trust in the Lord, for His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23), and His plans for you are good. Whether you face storms like the disciples in Mark 4:35-41 or challenges like the widow in 2 Kings 4:1-7, remember that God is your provider, protector, and peace. Lift your eyes to Him, for He is faithful to make streams in the wilderness and pathways in the desert (Isaiah 43:19). Declare boldly: This year will be good for me because I serve a good God who makes all things beautiful in His time (Ecclesiastes 3:11)! Hold fast to His Word, for in Him, you have victory and hope for a glorious future.
Prophetic word: The Lord says, “This year shall be a year of restoration and overflowing joy for you. I, the Lord, am turning every disappointment into divine appointments. Where the enemy has sown tares among the wheat, I will uproot and establish my blessings in abundance. Fear not, for I am with you, and I will go before you to make the crooked paths straight (Isaiah 45:2). You shall walk in peace and triumph, for I have overcome the world on your behalf (John 16:33). As you trust in Me, I will do exceedingly abundantly above all you ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). I declare this is your season of divine breakthroughs, new opportunities, and answered prayers. Watch and see how I will turn mourning into dancing and replace ashes with beauty (Isaiah 61:3). My plans for you are good, and they will come to pass. Be strong and courageous, for I, the Lord your God, am faithful.”
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your faithfulness and the assurance of victory through Christ Jesus. I lift up this year before You and declare it will be filled with Your goodness, mercy, and divine favor. Lord, uproot every work of the enemy and replace it with Your peace and blessings. I pray for restoration in every area of life where there has been loss, and I ask for breakthroughs in ways only You can provide. Lord, let Your plans of hope and a future for us come to fulfillment (Jeremiah 29:11). Strengthen our faith to trust in Your timing and Your ways.
Father, let streams flow in the wilderness and rivers in the desert places of our lives (Isaiah 43:19). May every storm be stilled, every trial turned to testimony, and every season of waiting be crowned with abundant joy. We receive Your promises of peace, provision, and prosperity, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in us (Philippians 1:6). Thank You, Lord, for making this year good, for Your glory and our testimony. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
