“He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. …….”
Matthew 13:28aKJV
The servants of the farm owner came and said unto him that they saw tares among the good seed, and they were wondering how tares got there. The owner recognized that it was the enemy at work. Jesus said in John 10:10 that the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. The enemy is a thief, a killer, and he is also a destroyer. The Bible also calls the enemy an accuser (Rev 12:10). The enemy is an attacker (1 Samuel 30:1). The enemy is also an arrester (1 Kings 13:4; Acts 12:1-3). The enemy is also called a scatterer (Nahum 2:1); when you find it difficult to gather, it is an enemy at work. When you see any of these signs, don’t just fold your arms; deal with the enemy. Rise in prayer and spiritual warfare to bind the strong man and take back what belongs to you (Matthew 12:29).
The good news is that the enemy’s works can be destroyed by the power of God. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8), and through His name, every knee must bow (Philippians 2:9-11). When David faced the destruction caused by the Amalekites, he sought the Lord and pursued his enemies, recovering all that was lost (1 Samuel 30:8, 18-19). Likewise, as this year begins to unfold, you must take authority in the name of Jesus and declare the enemy’s works defeated in every area of your life. Don’t dwell on past failures or challenges; instead, step into the new thing God is doing (Isaiah 43:18-19). Trust in God’s promises, confront the enemy in faith and experience the fullness of His plans for you in 2025.
Prophetic word: This is a season of restoration and new beginnings. I am doing a new thing in your life; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland (Isaiah 43:18-19). Every seed of confusion, delay, or destruction that the enemy has planted will be uprooted. You will recover all that has stolen from you, for I am the God who restores the years the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25). Walk in boldness and faith, for I have given you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and overcome all the power of the enemy, and nothing will harm you (Luke 10:19). This is your year of divine acceleration, victory, and harvest. Trust Me, for I will perfect all that concerns you."
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your word and the assurance of victory in Christ Jesus. Today, we stand on the authority of Your word and declare that every work of the enemy in our lives, families, and endeavors is destroyed in Jesus' name. We bind the strong man (Matthew 12:29) and declare that every seed of the enemy, every tare sown in the field of our lives, is uprooted and cast into the fire (Matthew 13:30). Lord, we declare restoration over every stolen blessing, time, and opportunity (Joel 2:25). We speak life to prevail over death and destruction (John 10:10). We call forth new opportunities, breakthroughs, and testimonies IN JESUS’ MIGHTY NAME.
