“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2 KJV
I don’t know what you are going through, but I have a word from the Lord for you: If you remain steadfast in Christ, there is joy ahead of you. Even in the darkest moments, God’s people have always found hope in the promise of future joy. Joseph suffered betrayal, slavery, and imprisonment, yet God turned it all around, raising him to a place of honor and using his trials for the salvation of many (Genesis 50:20). David, hunted and afflicted, was eventually crowned king as God fulfilled His word (Psalm 30:5). The pain you feel is not the end of your story—like Jesus, who gained the keys of hell and death and obtained redemption for humanity (Revelation 1:18; Colossians 1:13-14), you too will see the purpose in your trials. “After you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace…will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you” (1 Peter 5:10 ESV).
No matter what you are facing, remain steadfast in Christ. Remember, “all things work together for good to them that love God” (Romans 8:28), and what you’re going through will end in joy. The enemy who meant evil against you will regret it, just as Satan regretted orchestrating the crucifixion of Jesus, not realizing it would bring victory and redemption (1 Corinthians 2:8). What is meant for your harm will turn to testimonies—Jesus Himself said, “It will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony” (Luke 21:13 NKJV). Be encouraged and do not lose heart; follow the example of those who through faith and patience inherited the promises—like Abraham, who waited and received (Hebrews 6:12; Romans 4:20-21). There is joy ahead—hold on, your testimony is being written! (Psalms 30:5)
Prophetic word: The Lord says, “Do not be discouraged by the present trials or the weight of your current challenges. For I am the God who brings beauty out of ashes and turns mourning into dancing (Isaiah 61:3; Psalm 30:11). The night season will not last forever, for I am bringing you into a morning of rejoicing. Even as Joseph’s captivity led to his promotion, so shall your hardship give way to honor. Every tear you have sown in faith shall return to you as a harvest of joy (Psalm 126:5-6). Stand firm, for the pain you feel today will become the testimony that strengthens others tomorrow. The enemy’s plans will backfire, and what was meant for your harm I will use for your elevation. You will declare with your mouth, ‘The Lord has done great things for me’ (Psalm 126:3).”
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for the assurance of joy ahead. I pray for everyone under the sound of this word—let your strength fill every weary heart. Grant the grace to endure, to remain steadfast, and to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. Let every pain, every trial, and every season of sorrow be turned into a testimony of Your faithfulness. Lord, frustrate the plans of the enemy and let all things work together for the good of those who love You. Let Your peace guard every heart, and Your joy break forth like the dawn. Let there be a divine turnaround, and make everyone reading this experience the fullness of Your restoration, favor, and abundant joy. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
