No more shame!

“They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.” Psalm 34:5KJV

You cannot look unto God and still see or experience shame. When you are faced with a difficult situation, look unto Him. Now, don’t wait till you are in a difficult situation; keep your face on Him by engaging in a constant, regular, daily fellowship with Him. You will be confident that you cannot have shame come what may. When we set our eyes on God, He lifts away our disgrace and covers us with His glory. Consider the story of Hannah in 1 Samuel 1:6-20—she was mocked and ridiculed because of her barrenness, yet she poured out her soul before the Lord, and in due time, God answered her prayers with the birth of Samuel, erasing her shame.

Throughout Scripture, God specializes in turning shame into honor for those who trust in Him. The woman with the issue of blood (Luke 8:43-48) suffered for twelve years, isolated and embarrassed by her condition, but her faith in Jesus turned her story around; instead of shame, she received healing and was publicly called “daughter” by the Lord.  Even Peter turned his failure into success, and his shame into glory by giving Jesus his boat (Luke 5:1-7). Isaiah 61:7 affirms God’s promise: “For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion.” No matter what you face or how deep your shame may feel, if you run to God, your turnaround is guaranteed. He is faithful to replace shame with joy, restoration, and honor for all who look unto Him.

Prophetic word: Thus says the Lord: No more shall shame have a hold on your life. Where you have been mocked, misunderstood, or looked down upon, I am lifting you up and clothing you with honor. Every place of disgrace is turning into a testimony of My faithfulness. As you continue to look unto Me, you will see My light breaking forth in every dark area. I am the lifter of your head (Psalm 3:3), and you will stand as a sign of My redemption. The season of shame is over; the season of double honor, joy, and restoration has begun. Rejoice, for your story is changing and the world will see that I, the Lord, have dealt wondrously with you (Joel 2:26-27).

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your promise to remove every shame and clothe me with Your glory. I declare that as I look to You, my face will never be covered with shame again. Lord, just as You turned around the stories of Hannah, Joseph, and Peter, turn my situation around for Your glory. Replace every garment of reproach with the robe of honor and joy. Let Your light shine on every area of my life, and let my testimony draw others to Your love and faithfulness. Father, I receive by faith the double portion You have promised, and I boldly step into this new season of restoration and rejoicing. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
