The strong tower

“The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” Proverbs 18:10 KJV

A strong tower in the Bible represents a secure place of refuge, a fortress where people find safety from every threat or danger of the enemy. Likewise, the name of the Lord serves as a refuge for believers in every generation. Anyone who calls upon His name can find protection from every form of trouble, physical, emotional, or spiritual.

In Psalm 108:10–12, the name of the Lord becomes a weapon of victory even when surrounded by enemies. David invoked this name in 1 Samuel 17:45–47, declaring, “I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts,” and through that name he triumphed over Goliath. In the New Testament, this name is revealed as the name of Jesus, the name above every other name (Philippians 2:9–10; Acts 3:6).

I may not know what you are facing today or what has come against you, but I assure you that in the name of Jesus, you are victorious and safe. If you call upon that name with faith and expectation, you have at your disposal an impregnable fortress, a divine strong tower that never fails.

Prophetic Word: I prophesy over you that you are coming out of every unwanted situation, unshaken and unscathed, in Jesus’ mighty name.
