“Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant……. But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.” 1 Corinthians 12:1,31 KJV
It is your responsibility as a Christian to understand the spiritual gifts and desire them earnestly. The gifts of the Spirit empower you to know, speak, and act supernaturally. They make the Christian life vibrant and exciting. Often, these gifts are imparted when you are born again and filled with the Holy Spirit. However, when you consciously study them and ask God for their manifestation, you will begin to operate in them according to your need, both in your personal life and in ministering to others. You can also receive impartation through others who manifest the gifts (Romans 1:11; 1 Timothy 4:14; 2 Timothy 1:6). However, you must not let them lie dormant; instead, stir up the gifts within you.
All supernatural manifestations in my ministry are a result of the gifts of discernment and faith. For instance, the first time a lame man walked in my meeting, I heard God and declared to the people that I would pray for him and that he would work. The location of our ministry property in Nigeria came by revelation, a manifestation of the gift of “knowing.” We had already concluded on another site, but when the owner showed me additional lands, the Holy Spirit guided me to choose the right one. Similarly, my decision to relocate to South Africa was also born out of divine revelation.
Prophetic Word: I prophesy that you will hunger for and manifest the gifts of the Spirit in every area of your life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Prayer: Oh God, anoint me with the Holy Spirit and power, and let me manifest
the gifts of the Holy Spirit daily in my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
