Rejoicing in your weakness!

“For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection.” 2 Corinthians 13:9 KJV

I have a rather strange title this morning, and you may be wondering why anyone would rejoice in weakness. Yet, this is one of the deepest secrets of divine strength. When you recognize your weakness and turn to God, He replaces it with His strength. That’s when you begin to experience results you cannot humanly explain. Paul understood this truth deeply. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, he wrote, “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” When you rejoice in your weakness, you invite the unlimited power of God into your situation. You shift your dependence from self to Spirit. That’s why the prophet Joel declared in Joel 3:10, “Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.”

You have no reason to fail, despite your weakness. Surrender it to God, and allow the Holy Spirit to strengthen you and turn it into a testimony (Romans 8:26–28; 2 Chronicles 20).

Prophetic Word: I declare that you will succeed despite your weakness, you will prosper despite your limitations in Jesus’ name.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, help my infirmities and perfect Your strength in me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
