“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40 KJV
It is your responsibility as a Christian to walk in love. The first expression of this love is towards God; this is where you generate power for your destiny. The second expression is towards people; this is where you release that power to become a solution among men. When you walk in love, negative words lose their power against you (Matthew 22:40; Romans 13:10).
This love is beyond just an emotion (phileos and eros); it is the selfless, God-kind of love (agape) that transforms a person into a living sanctuary and channel of divine dominion (John 14:23; 1 John 4:7-12). As powerful as faith is, love is even greater (1 Corinthians 13:13). Love conquers fear (1 John 4:18) and remains the weapon that wins every battle (Romans 12:21). Such love flows naturally from intimacy with God, for no one can truly love without first abiding in His presence (Romans 5:5).
Prophetic Word: I prophesy that the Spirit of Love will envelop and possess you. You will walk daily in the love of Christ, and through it, manifest divine power and peace in every area of your life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Prayer: Oh God, fill me with Your love and power. Let Your love be shed abroad
in my heart by the Holy Spirit. Help me to love You wholeheartedly and to love
others selflessly, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
