Christian responsibilities! 5

“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Galatians 5:25 KJV

It is your responsibility as a believer to live in the Spirit, walk in the Spirit, and be led by the Spirit. Being led by the Spirit is the true evidence of your sonship in Christ: “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God” (Romans 8:14). In Galatians 5, the Word distinguishes between the works of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit. Your victory over the flesh depends on how much you yield yourself to the Spirit (Galatians 5:16). A Spirit-filled Christian life is not one of struggle but of surrender, where Christ lives and reigns through you.

The Christian life is a Christ-centred life powered by the Holy Spirit. The Lion in you roars when you walk in authority of the Spirit; the Eagle in you soars when you live in the Spirit. To experience this victory, you must mortify the flesh by denying it the things that empower it (Colossians 3:5). Remember, “the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak” (Matthew 26:41). Therefore, guard your eyes and ears, censor what you watch or listen to; Fast often to subdue the flesh; Meditate on the Word daily, and pray without ceasing. As you do, you will rise into your full manifestation in the Spirit.

Prophetic Word: I prophesy that you will always yield to the Holy Spirit and overcome every work of the flesh in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, carry me, empower me, and lead me all the days of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
