“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Ephesians 6:13 KJV
It is your responsibility to take up the whole armour of God and live as a soldier of Christ in this world. The armour equips you to stand firm against the wiles of the devil, to withstand in the evil day, and to quench every fiery dart of the wicked one. Through this discipline, you develop the strength and consistency needed to be effective and efficient as a Christian. Paul admonishes us in 2 Timothy 2:3–4, “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.”
The spiritual armour consists of: The Helmet of Salvation – Your identity in Christ; you are recognized as His by your spiritual mind and renewed thoughts; The Belt of Truth – Symbolizing freedom and the authority to act in righteousness; The Breastplate of Righteousness – Your defence against wrong thinking and guilt; The Boots of the Gospel of Peace – Your readiness and ability to navigate all terrains of life with the message of peace; The Shield of Faith – Your firm defence against fear, doubt, and every attack of the enemy; The Sword of the Spirit – Your offensive weapon, empowering you to conquer.
Prophetic Word: I prophesy that you will stand firm no matter the situation; you will advance forcefully in every situation, and you will be effective as a soldier of Christ, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Prayer: Oh God, make me what You want me to be. Strengthen me to put on Your
full armor daily, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
