“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Mathew 17:20(KJV)
Have you ever noticed that God specializes in using small, seemingly insignificant things to produce mighty breakthroughs? When the Israelites stood before the Red Sea with Pharaoh’s army in pursuit, God didn’t send a battalion of angels—He instructed Moses to stretch out a rod (Exodus 14:16), and the sea parted! When David faced the giant Goliath, he didn’t need Saul’s armor—he knocked out the trouble with just a sling and a smooth stone (1 Samuel 17:49). When the Prophet Elijah met a widow on the brink of losing everything, all she had was a little oil, yet God multiplied it to pay off her debt and secure her future (2 Kings 4:1-7). Naaman’s leprosy was cleansed not by grand gestures but by simply obeying the word to wash seven times in the Jordan River (2 Kings 5:10). Each of these stories teaches us that God’s solution to your trouble doesn’t depend on its size; it depends on your willingness to act in faith, no matter how small or “foolish” the instruction may seem.
Are you staring at a mountain of trouble today? Jesus says if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can speak to that mountain and command it to move (Matthew 17:20). Begin to worship God and give Him praise, just as Paul and Silas did in prison until their chains broke and the prison doors opened (Acts 16:25-26). Speak to your trouble boldly—declare God’s promises over it. Then, wait expectantly for a specific instruction from the Lord. Remember, Peter only needed one word—"Cast your net on the right side"—to transform his night of fruitless toil into a net-breaking catch (John 21:6). God will not leave you stranded. Hold on in faith, for “they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength” (Isaiah 40:31). Your trouble may look intimidating, but God’s word is all you need to knock it out. For every shame, God will give you double, and for every trial, He will grant triumph, in Jesus’ name!
Prophetic word: Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand" (Isaiah 41:10). That mountain of trouble before you is not too great for My power, says the Lord. Just as I gave David victory over Goliath, and as I made way for the Israelites through the Red Sea, so shall I give you victory over this situation. You may feel as though you have little strength, but My strength is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Stand firm, declare My word, and move forward in faith. For I will give you beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and a garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness (Isaiah 61:3). The trouble you see today, you shall see no more, for I am bringing a turnaround. Your testimony is at hand!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You because You are a God of miracles, breakthroughs, and wonders. Lord, I lift up every mountain of trouble before me and declare, "Be removed and cast into the sea!" in Jesus' name. I rebuke fear, doubt, and unbelief and replace them with faith that moves mountains. Father, just as You gave a word to Peter that turned his night of struggle into a day of abundance, give me Your word of instruction for my situation today. Let every Red Sea before me part, let every Goliath fall, and let every closed door be opened. I decree that the oil of joy shall replace every sorrow, and for every shame, You will give me double honor. Lord, I worship You in advance for the victory, for I know You are faithful to perform Your word. Thank You for the turnaround that is coming. I receive my testimony with confidence, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen!
