Believing is seeing!

“Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” John 20:29(KJV)

“Seeing is believing” is not biblical, it is the world’s philosophy. The Bible kind of faith and the faith Jesus taught us is illustrated by “Believing is Seeing.” Jesus emphasized this when He spoke to Thomas, declaring a blessing upon those who believe without seeing (John 20:29). This faith is rooted in trust, not in physical evidence. Consider Abraham, who believed God’s promise that he would be the father of many nations, even when it seemed impossible due to his and Sarah's physical limitations (Romans 4:17-18). His unwavering faith brought the manifestation of God’s promise. Similarly, Noah built an ark based on God’s word, not on any visible sign of rain (Hebrews 11:7). His belief led to salvation for him and his household. These examples teach us that faith is not dependent on what we see but on the certainty of God’s word.

As believers, we are called to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). Just as we trust in unseen realities like our internal organs, we must trust in God’s promises, even in the midst of life’s uncertainties and storms. When the Israelites stood before the Red Sea, they couldn’t see a way forward, but Moses believed God’s word and lifted his staff. The sea parted, and they walked on dry ground (Exodus 14:21-22). Believing God activates His power and brings His promises to fruition. May you have the faith to believe God’s word in every situation, knowing that what He has spoken will surely come to pass. Hold on to His promises, for with faith, you will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13).

Prophetic word: The Lord says, “I am calling you to step into a season of unwavering faith, where you trust Me before you see the outcome. As you believe My word, even when circumstances seem contrary, I will honor your faith with supernatural breakthroughs. Like Abraham, who hoped against hope, I will make you a testimony of My faithfulness. Do not be swayed by what you see in the natural, for I am working behind the scenes to bring My promises to pass. You shall declare, ‘This is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in my eyes.’ Stand firm and see the salvation of the Lord. As you believe, you will see My glory manifest in ways beyond your imagination.”

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of faith and the assurance that believing is seeing. Today, I align my heart with Your promises and declare that I will walk by faith and not by sight. Strengthen me to trust You, even when the path is unclear, and to hold on to Your word above all else. Lord, I ask for the faith of Abraham, the boldness of Noah, and the confidence of Moses to act on Your word and expect miraculous outcomes. Let every storm in my life bow to the power of Your spoken word, and may Your glory be revealed in every situation I face. Father, I decree that my faith will produce testimonies, and I will see the fulfillment of all You have spoken over me. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
