“And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters” Genesis 8:18 KJV.
As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be for those who dwell in the ark of divine covenant. The same waters that brought destruction to the wicked lifted the ark above the turmoil, carrying Noah and his family to safety (Genesis 7:17-18). This divine exception demonstrates the sovereignty of God, who can cause the same circumstance to have contrasting effects on different people. The plagues of Egypt, for instance, brought suffering to Pharaoh and his people, yet the Israelites in Goshen were preserved and prospered (Exodus 8:22-23; Exodus 9:26). So too, when others cry out for help in economic despair, you will declare, "There is a lifting up" (Job 22:29), because you are sheltered under the wings of the Almighty.
Remember, beloved, that your positioning in Christ secures your status as a covenant child. Just as the ark shielded Noah, being in Christ places you in a realm of divine protection and provision. The same fiery furnace that was meant to destroy Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego became a stage for their deliverance and testimony of God's power (Daniel 3:24-25). Similarly, when the waters of life rise—whether in the form of economic challenges, global uncertainties, or personal trials—they will not overwhelm you, for God has made you a divine exception (Isaiah 43:2). Stay in the ark of His word, His promises, and His presence, and you will be lifted above every storm to new realms of glory and victory.
Prophetic word: I decree over your life today that you are a divine exception in every situation. When others are crying out in despair, you will be lifted above the challenges, just as Noah’s ark floated above the floodwaters. You are not subject to the afflictions of this world because you are hidden in the covenant of God. Economic meltdowns will not melt you, and depressions will not depress you. Instead, in this season, you will thrive, prosper, and excel beyond expectation. The same God who preserved Noah, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, and the Israelites in Goshen is with you. His protection surrounds you like a shield, and His favor lifts you above the storms. Stay in the ark of His presence, and you will see His mighty hand at work in your life.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your covenant of divine protection and provision. Just as You lifted Noah above the flood and preserved the Israelites in Goshen, I declare that I am covered by Your unfailing grace. Lord, when the storms of life rage, let me be anchored in Your presence and lifted by Your power. Let every challenge turn into a testimony of Your greatness in my life. Father, I speak divine exception over my household—what brings others down will lift us higher. Fill my heart with faith, my mouth with praise, and my hands with fruitfulness, that I may glorify You in all things. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
