Spiritual intelligence!

“But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:10-12 KJV

Spiritual intelligence is the God-given capacity to understand His ways, discern His thoughts and respond correctly to the circumstances of life. Two dimensions of spiritual intelligence give a Christian an advantage in every situation. The first is knowing and walking in the ways of God (Psalm 103:7 KJV). While many people seek only the acts of God, spiritually intelligent believers seek to understand the principles, patterns and ways by which He works. As we meditate continually on God’s Word, speak it faithfully and obey its instructions, we receive wisdom for effective living and position ourselves for success and prosperity according to His purpose (Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:1–3).

The second dimension is knowing and operating according to the thoughts of God. Human intelligence is limited to what the natural mind can perceive, but the Holy Spirit searches the deep things of God and reveals them to believers (1 Corinthians 2:10–12). Through fellowship with the Holy Spirit, prayer and meditation on Scripture, we can receive divine insight concerning situations that appear confusing or impossible. God can show us what others cannot see, reveal the right decisions to make and guide us into actions that produce His intended outcomes (2 Kings 6:1-15; Luke 5:4-16, Acts 27: 10,21-25). Spiritual intelligence is allowing the Holy Spirit to transform God’s Word into revelation, direction and practical obedience.

Prophetic Word: I declare that the Spirit of wisdom and revelation is resting upon you. Your spiritual eyes are opening, and your understanding is being enlightened. You will not walk in confusion, uncertainty or error. The Holy Spirit will reveal the deep things of God to you and show you what to do in every situation in Jesus’ name.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me Your Holy Spirit, who searches and reveals the deep things of God. Grant me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Help me to understand Your ways, recognise Your voice and discern Your thoughts concerning every area of my life. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
