Greater things 1

“Neither do people pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.” Matthew 9:17KJV

To experience new and greater things, you must be willing to embrace new thinking, deeper faith and greater responsibility. New wine requires new wineskins because yesterday’s capacity may not be sufficient for tomorrow’s blessings. Therefore, refuse to remain trapped by either past successes or past failures. Celebrate what God has done, learn from your experiences and keep moving towards the greater things ahead. Like Paul, forget what lies behind, reach forward and press towards the goal of God’s higher calling in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13–14).

Enlarge your capacity for God to work in and through you. Think beyond your present limitations, speak faith-filled words, sow meaningful seeds and take Spirit-led steps of faith. God entrusts opportunities according to each person’s capacity; therefore, develop and faithfully use what He has placed in your hands (Matthew 25:15). Above all, seek a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit. Jesus fulfilled His divine assignment through the power and presence of God, doing good and bringing deliverance to those who were oppressed (Acts 10:38). As you surrender yourself afresh, God will prepare you for greater influence, greater fruitfulness and greater testimonies.

Prophetic Word: I declare that God will enlarge your capacity and prepare you for the new things He is bringing into your life. Every limitation associated with your past is broken. You will receive fresh strength, fresh wisdom, fresh opportunities and a fresh anointing. Where others see impossibilities, God will create pathways for you. You will experience new and greater testimonies, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer: O God, renew my mind, enlarge my capacity and anoint me afresh for greater things. Give me the courage to release the past and step faithfully into the future You have prepared for me. Bring honey out of the rock for me and cause blessings to arise from unexpected places. Let my life overflow with undeniable testimonies, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
