Pay attention to your dreams!

“For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;” Job 33:14-15KJV

Your dream of sleep is a strong spiritual indicator that you should not neglect. For example, if your dreams are confusing and not clear, you are having a spiritual struggle. You will need to pray more to breakthrough. The same happens if you are always forgetting your dream or think you don’t dream at all. Your dream life gives you access into the spiritual atmosphere within and around you (Judges 7:13-14; Acts 10:9-16; Genesis 41, Daniel 2; Genesis 42:9; Matthew 2:13; Matthew 27:19). Your dream of the night can give you direction and even prayer points, don’t neglect them.

Nevertheless, every dream must be tested through prayer, Scripture and spiritual discernment. Not every dream is necessarily a divine message, because dreams may also arise from daily activities, anxiety or an occupied mind (Ecclesiastes 5:3,7). Therefore, do not become fearful when a dream is unclear, and do not build major decisions upon a dream alone. Record what you remember, pray for understanding and examine whether its message agrees with the character of God and the truth of His Word (1 Thessalonians 5:20–21; 1 John 4:1). When God gives genuine direction, He is able to provide clarity, confirmation and peace.

Prophetic Word: I declare that every veil of confusion over your spiritual understanding is removed. The Lord will sharpen your discernment and grant you wisdom to recognise what He is revealing to you. Every warning intended for your preservation will not be missed, and every divine instruction necessary for your next season will become clear. In Jesus’ name.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You because You are a God who speaks and guides Your children. Please sharpen my spiritual discernment and help me to recognise Your voice. Give me understanding concerning every dream, impression or vision that comes from You. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
