Victory mentality 1

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4 KJV

There are two kinds of birth: physical birth and spiritual birth. Physical birth comes through natural human birth, but spiritual birth comes through faith in Jesus Christ. The Bible calls this being born of God, or being born of water and of the Spirit. Every true believer has experienced this spiritual birth. Beloved, one of the blessings that comes with being born of God is victory.

When you became born again, you became an overcomer through Christ. You have victory over sin, Satan, the world, and every power that rises against the purpose of God for your life. The devil is afraid of a believer who understands his position in Christ. Therefore, you must carry a victory mentality every day. Do not face life as a defeated person. Face every challenge with the confidence that Christ has already given you victory. Caleb understood this mentality when he said, “Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it” (Numbers 13:30). While others saw giants, Caleb saw God’s promise. While others spoke defeat, Caleb spoke victory. In the same way, do not allow what you see to cancel what God has said. If God has given you victory, then reject defeat. The Bible also says, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13). This means you are not operating by your own strength alone. The strength of Christ is at work in you. As you go about your daily activities, remember that you are not trying to become victorious; you are already victorious in Christ.

Prophetic Word: I declare that the last defeat you experienced shall be the last forever. The victory of Christ shall speak in your life, and every power of failure shall bow before you. In Jesus’ name.

Prayer: As I journey through this world, I carry the mentality of a victorious saint. I walk in faith, I reject defeat, and I overcome by the victory of Christ. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
