Vengeance is God’s!

“Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” Romans 12:19 KJV

Beloved, never allow the pain caused by others to push you into vengeance. Vengeance is not your assignment; it belongs to God. You may be angry, but you must not take revenge, because anger must not become a doorway to sin, bitterness, or retaliation (Ephesians 4:26-27). Do not allow what someone did to you to turn you into what God has not called you to be. Instead, overcome evil with good and let God defend, judge, and repay in His perfect wisdom (Romans 12:21).

This does not mean ignoring wisdom, boundaries, or necessary action. You may need to take practical steps, seek godly counsel, report what must be reported, or separate yourself from harmful situations. But never allow revenge to replace righteousness. No matter what others do, do not change your good way (Matthew 7:12). Let God guide your response, let wisdom govern your actions, and let goodness remain your identity. When God fights for you, He will do it beyond your expectations.

Prophetic Word: I declare that the Lord shall defend you and fight for you. You shall not be overcome by evil. Every painful situation shall be turned around by the hand of God. The Lord shall subdue your adversaries, preserve your heart from bitterness, and give you victory without losing your goodness. In Jesus’ name.

Prayer: Father, give me grace to surrender every painful situation unto You. Help me not to take vengeance into my own hands. Deliver my heart from anger, bitterness, and retaliation. Teach me to overcome evil with good, and let Your justice, peace, and goodness prevail in my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
