“And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; …. And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.” Luke 19:37-40 KJV
A praising church is a winning church. Praise gives access to the
presence of God (Psalm 100:4). The Church was born in the atmosphere of the
Holy Ghost, praise, and worship, as men from different nations heard the
wonderful works of God in their own languages (Acts 2). This means the Church must
never lose her voice of praise. When the disciples praised Jesus openly, some
wanted them to be silent, but Jesus declared that if they kept quiet, the
stones would immediately cry out. You will not be replaced by stones. No matter
what you are going through, do not allow your situation to silence your praise.
Praise is not only an expression of joy; it is a weapon of victory (Psalms 149).
When Judah praised God, the Lord fought their battle and gave them victory over
their enemies (2 Chronicles 20). When Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises in
prison, the foundations of the prison were shaken, and doors were opened (Acts
16:25-26).
Sometimes, praise is a declaration of faith in the middle of pressure
(Isaiah 54:1-4; Habakkuk 3:17-19). Sing when you understand and sing when you
do not understand. Sing when the doors are open and sing when you are waiting
for them to open. Do not allow trials, fear, shame, or opposition to steal your
praise. The Church that praises God carries victory, strength, joy, and divine
presence.
Prophetic Word: I declare that your voice of praise
shall not be silenced. The Lord shall turn your battles into testimonies. Every
prison door around your life shall be opened by the power of God. The Lord
shall fill His Church with joy, victory, and fresh fire. You shall not be
replaced by stones. Your praise shall rise, your victory shall manifest, and
your testimony shall be loud. In Jesus’ name.
Prayer: Father, give me the
grace to praise You in every season. Let nothing silence my worship or steal my
joy. Teach me to praise You in faith, in strength, and in truth. Let my praise
become a weapon of victory, and let Your presence fill my life and Your Church.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
