The power of the church!1

“And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.” Colossians 1:18 KJV

Beloved, never reduce the church to a building, a denomination, or a religious organisation. The church is far more than a physical structure; the church is the living body of Christ. Christ Himself is the Head, and because the Head cannot be defeated, the body cannot be destroyed. This makes the true church unstoppable, indestructible, impregnable, and unshakable. The church is not ordinary. It is the gathering of believers under the authority and presence of Christ (Matthew 18:20). It is a spiritual gathering backed by heaven (Hebrews 12:22-24).

The power of the church comes from its union with Christ. The body is not separate from the head; the body is identified by the head. Since Christ is King, the church carries kingly authority. Since Christ is Priest, the church carries priestly position (Revelation 1:6). Do not see yourself as weak when you are truly part of the body of Christ. When you are rightly planted in the eternal church, your destiny is not exposed to the mercy of darkness. You are connected to a body whose Head is above all principalities and powers. Challenges may arise, opposition may come, but the church of Jesus Christ cannot be overthrown. If the Head is victorious, the body must also walk in victory. No matter what rises against the church, it shall end in triumph.

Prophetic Word: I declare that you shall understand and walk in the power of the church. You shall not be disconnected from the body of Christ. The authority of Christ shall speak over your life, and every force standing against your destiny shall bow to the lordship of Jesus. As part of the body of Christ, you shall not be defeated, you shall not be shaken, and you shall not be overcome. Your destiny is secured in Christ. In Jesus’ name.

Prayer: Father, thank You for making me part of the body of Christ. Help me to understand the power, authority, and privilege of belonging to Your church. Let my life manifest the victory, authority, and glory of Jesus. Strengthen Your church and use me as a vessel to advance Your kingdom on earth. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
