The power of the church!2

“And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:” John 17:21 KJV

Beloved, the power of the church is in the unity of the church. We cannot afford to allow offence, pride, jealousy, doctrine without love, personal interest, or the weakness of others to divide us. A kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. When the church is united, the church becomes a mighty instrument in the hand of God. Unity does not mean that we are all the same; it means that, though we are different members, we function as one body in Christ (Romans 12:5; 1 Corinthians 12:12).

This is why those who are strong must bear the weaknesses of the weak, and not expose, condemn, or destroy them (Romans 15:1). The strength God gives you is not for superiority; it is for service. The grace you have received is not to make others look small, but to help them stand. We must keep the unity of the faith, walk in love, and refuse anything that weakens the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:13). When love and unity are present among us, prayer becomes powerful. The early church prayed together, and prison doors opened for Peter (Acts 12:5-11). When God’s people humble themselves and pray, God hears, forgives, and heals (2 Chronicles 7:14). When believers agree in prayer, heaven responds (Matthew 18:19). No matter what you are going through, if there is at least one person standing with you in sincere agreement before God, you will overcome.

Prophetic Word: I declare that the Lord shall strengthen His church in love, unity, and power. Every spirit of division, offence, pride, and confusion shall be broken. The Lord shall raise helpers, intercessors, and burden-bearers around you. You shall not stand alone in the day of trouble. As the church prays in unity, doors shall open, chains shall break, and testimonies shall manifest. In Jesus’ name.

Prayer: Father, give us grace to walk in love and unity as the body of Christ. Deliver us from division, pride, offence, and selfish ambition. Help the strong to bear the weak, and help the weak to receive strength. Teach us to pray together, stand together, and overcome together. Let Your power be revealed in Your church, and let Your glory be seen among us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
