The Spirit of Knowledge!

“And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship.” Exodus 31:3 KJV

The spirit of knowledge is a divine empowerment that enables believers to understand situations, recognise the schemes of the enemy, and respond to life’s challenges with wisdom and accuracy. Satan is already a defeated foe through the victory of Christ, but ignorance can prevent believers from walking effectively in that victory. Jesus taught that error often results from not “knowing,” while Paul warned believers not to remain ignorant of the enemy’s devices (Matthew 22:29; 2 Corinthians 2:11). Through divine knowledge, God can reveal hidden dangers, expose deceptive strategies, and provide direction before problems arise, as demonstrated in the ministry of Elisha (2 Kings 6:8–15).

There is knowledge acquired through education, diligent study, experience, mentorship, and training, and these legitimate means of growth should never be neglected. However, there is also a higher dimension of knowledge that comes through the indwelling Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit can grant supernatural insight, exceptional skill, creative intelligence, and specialised ability for the fulfilment of God’s purposes. Bezalel was filled with the Spirit of God and empowered with wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and craftsmanship for the work of the tabernacle (Exodus 31:1–5). As a new-covenant believer in Christ, pursue both disciplined learning and spiritual illumination, trusting the Holy Spirit to sharpen your understanding and make you skilful, discerning, and effective in every assignment.

Prophetic Word: I declare that the Spirit of knowledge rests upon you. Every veil of ignorance, confusion, error, and repeated mistakes is removed from your life in Jesus’ name.

Prayer: Father, thank You for giving me Your Holy Spirit. Fill me afresh with the spirit of wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. Give me supernatural insight into every situation and equip me with the knowledge, competence, creativity, and practical skills required for my assignment. In Jesus’ name, amen.
