Eyesight is not enough!

“(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)” 2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV

In destiny fulfilment, you must make right decisions, but eyesight is not enough. This is because what looks right is not always right. Samuel almost chose Eliab because of his appearance, but God redirected him to look beyond the outward man (1 Samuel 16:6–7). When dealing with men you need to see into their hearts to make quality decisions. You need spiritual sight because the road into the heart of a man is far. Lot chose what looked attractive, yet his choice brought him close to Sodom and its dangers (Genesis 13:10–13). Natural sight sees appearance; spiritual sight discerns what lies beyond it.

Some decisions are too important to make by sight alone. Isaac received divine direction during famine and was preserved from making the wrong move (Genesis 26:1–3). In matters of relationships, career, location, ministry, and destiny, seek God’s wisdom. Build your mind, but also cultivate fellowship with the Holy Spirit, because what your eyes and even your mind cannot see, God can reveal.

Prophetic Word: May God sharpen your discernment. You will not be deceived by appearances or make costly decisions based on what merely looks good. The Lord will guide you, reveal what you need to know, and order your steps into His purpose, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer: Father, give me wisdom and spiritual discernment. Help me to see beyond appearances and to recognise Your direction in every important decision. Deliver me from wrong choices and order my steps according to Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
