“And the angel of the Lord came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.” 1 Kings 19:7 KJV
The journey ahead demand more than yesterday’s strength. The bird can
only soar based on what it has eaten. Just as Elijah had to eat for the road
ahead, you must intentionally nourish your mind and spirit. Information renews
the mind and builds capacity (Daniel 9:2; Romans 12:2; 2 Timothy 4:13), while
God’s Word feeds the spirit (Matthew 4:4). Ignorance can make life
unnecessarily difficult, but knowledge understood and applied produces strength
and stability (Ecclesiastes 10:15).
Make learning and spiritual growth part of your daily life. The one who
continually feeds on God’s Word becomes fruitful and resilient in every season
(Psalm 1:1–3). If you know God, you shall be strong and do exploits (Daniel
11:32). Invest deliberately in yourself; read, learn, develop competence, seek
understanding, meditate on Scripture, pray, and remain filled with the Holy
Spirit. In the realm of men, train to become; in the realm of the Spirit, be
filled to prevail. Better eat well now; the journey ahead requires it.
Prophetic Word: You will enter your next season prepared.
God will increase your wisdom, understanding, capacity, and spiritual strength.
You will receive what you need for the journey ahead and fulfil your assignment
without fainting, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Prayer:
Father, give me hunger for knowledge, wisdom, Your Word, and
Your presence. Deliver me from ignorance and complacency. Strengthen my mind
and spirit, fill me continually with the Holy Spirit, and prepare me for every
journey ahead. May I remain fruitful and strong in every season, in Jesus’
name. Amen.
