“And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?” Matthew 14:31(KJV)
When Peter walked on water toward Jesus, he began to sink the moment he focused on the wind instead of the Word. But when he asked the Lord to save him, Jesus immediately stretched out His hand and caught him, and they both walked on water through the storm into the boat. Note that the storm stopped immediately after they got to the boat. If God has spoken to you, hold on to His word, no matter what storms arise (Matthew 14:29). The wind may howl, and the waves may rise, but do not let them shake your faith. Just as the wise man who built his house on the rock stood firm despite the rain and floods (Matthew 7:24-25), so will you stand if you trust in God's promises. Even when there seems to be no visible provision, trust that God will supply your needs (2 Kings 3:17). God never fails those who trust in Him.
The enemy will try every means to make you doubt because he knows that as long as you stand in faith, you cannot be overcome by the storm. But remember, God is faithful to keep what is entrusted to Him (2 Timothy 1:12). No matter how strong the waves appear, do not let fear take hold of you. And if, at any moment, doubt creeps in, cry out like Peter did, “Lord, save me!” (Matthew 14:30). He will stretch out His hand, lift you up, and help you walk on water through the storm (Matthew 14:31). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, for He who called you is faithful, and He will see you through (1 Thessalonians 5:24).
Prophetic word: The Lord says, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand" (Isaiah 41:10). Do not allow doubt to rob you of the miracle that is unfolding before you. The storm you see today is not greater than the power of God within you. Just as Peter walked on water by faith, so will you walk over obstacles that once seemed impossible. Though the winds may roar, they will not consume you; though the waves may rise, they will not drown you. If you remain steadfast, you will see My glory revealed in your life. When doubt whispers, silence it with faith. When fear knocks, answer with My word. I will uphold you, strengthen you, and carry you through to victory!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I come before You in faith, knowing that You are the God who never fails. Lord, I declare today that I will not be shaken by the storms of life, for my trust is in You. Strengthen my faith to walk on water, to rise above doubt, and to keep my eyes fixed on You. I reject every voice of fear and unbelief, and I choose to stand upon Your word, knowing that You are faithful to fulfill Your promises. I will not sink, I will not fail, and I will not be put to shame, for You are with me. I thank You for the breakthroughs, the miracles, and the testimonies that will come forth as I stand in faith. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen!
