“All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.” 1 John 5:17 KJV
Unrighteousness is when a person disconnects from God and His Word. Whatever is not rooted in faith is sin (Romans 14:23). When you refuse to stand on the Word concerning the issues of your life, you step into a place of spiritual instability, termed unrighteousness. It is possible to do what appears good, yet not be led by God; not everything that is permissible is profitable or divinely approved (1 Corinthians 10:23). True righteousness is living in alignment with God’s revealed will. If you sin, you must repent and align quickly with God (Luke 15:17-18)
Spiritual death is the condition of claiming to know God while living without conscious fellowship with Him. God calls you to abide in His presence and to let His Word govern your decisions, thoughts, and actions. The one who delights in the law of the Lord and meditates on it day and night shall be like a tree planted by rivers of water, fruitful, stable, and prosperous (Psalm 1:1–3). Victory in this life comes through faith, for whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world (1 John 5:4), and the righteous shall live by faith (Romans 1:17).
Prophetic Word: I declare that every tendency toward unrighteousness is broken over your life. You will not walk according to your own understanding, but according to the Word of God. Grace to stand firm in truth is released upon you. You will not substitute convenience for obedience. Your life will reflect God’s righteousness, and you will flourish like a tree planted by living waters. Victory is your portion as you walk by faith, in Jesus’ name.
Prayer: My Father and My God, I thank You for calling me into righteousness
through Your Word. Forgive me for every action, thought, or decision that was
not rooted in faith. Help me to remain connected to You at all times. Teach me
to live by Your Word and to seek Your will above my own. Strengthen me to
choose obedience at all times and in all seasons. I receive grace to walk
uprightly before You and to live by faith daily, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
