“For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.” Psalms 5:12KJV
As believers in Christ, we are born of God and made the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21; John 1:12-13). This righteousness is not just a status; it comes with divine benefits, and one of them is supernatural favour. Psalm 5:12 assures us that God surrounds the righteous with favour like a shield. From the moment of our new birth in Christ, we carry this covenant of favour. It's not earned; it’s bestowed by grace. Therefore, walk in the consciousness that you are favoured, everywhere, every time.
Scripture abounds with examples of men and women who walked in this divine favour because of the presence of God with them. Joseph found favour even in prison (Genesis 39:21), Esther obtained favour before kings and saved a nation (Esther 5:2), Daniel was preferred above presidents and princes because of an excellent spirit and God’s favour (Daniel 6:3), and David was called a man after God’s heart, enjoying unusual favour and victory (1 Samuel 16:22; Acts 13:22). This same favour is your portion in Christ. However, to remain confident in God’s favour, avoid the trap of disobedience, which dulls spiritual sensitivity and breeds guilt (1 John 3:21-22). Instead, live righteously, trust boldly, and expect God’s favour to open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8).
Prophetic word: I prophesy over your life today, in the name of Jesus, that you shall walk in the tangible manifestation of God’s favour. Because you are the righteousness of God in Christ, divine favour shall compass you like a shield (Psalm 5:12). Doors that were once shut shall open of their own accord. Like Joseph, you shall find favour in every season, even in the low places (Genesis 39:21). Like Esther, you will be chosen and lifted above others by the hand of divine preference (Esther 2:17). I declare that kings shall seek your wisdom like they sought Daniel’s (Daniel 6:3), and your name shall be remembered in high places like David's (1 Samuel 16:18). No weapon formed against your favour shall prosper. You are favoured for breakthroughs, for opportunities, for preservation, and for divine speed. In Jesus’ mighty name!
Prayer: Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for making me the righteousness of God in Christ. Thank You for surrounding me with Your favour as with a shield. I receive the consciousness to walk daily in Your divine favour. Let every atmosphere I enter respond to Your grace upon my life. As You favoured Joseph in the pit and in the palace, favour me in every situation. As You crowned Esther with honour, crown me with divine acceptance. Deliver me from anything, sin, fear, doubt, that may hinder the flow of Your favour. I declare that I am highly favoured, deeply loved, and supernaturally helped. Let Your favour speak for me, go before me, and lift me where effort cannot. I seal this with the blood of Jesus. Amen!
