“But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.” 1 Corinthians 1:27
You are qualified if you are willing and available. The Bible is filled with examples of how God uses unlikely vessels to accomplish His divine purposes, emphasizing His power over human ability. Consider Moses, who doubted his ability to speak yet became God's chosen leader to deliver Israel from Egypt (Exodus 4:10-12). God equipped him despite his self-perceived inadequacy, showing that it is not about our abilities but His empowerment. Similarly, Gideon, who saw himself as the least in his family and tribe, was called a "mighty man of valor" and used to deliver Israel with just 300 men (Judges 6:15-16, Judges 7:7). God’s hand transforms the weak into instruments of His glory.
Moreover, the story of Mary, a humble young woman, reminds us that God’s qualification is based on His purpose, not human standards. When the angel Gabriel announced that she would bear the Son of God, she responded in faith despite her humble background (Luke 1:30-38). The Apostle Paul reinforces this truth in 2 Corinthians 12:9, where he declares, "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." From Elijah outrunning Ahab by the supernatural hand of God (1 Kings 18:46) to David defeating Goliath with just a sling and stone (1 Samuel 17:45-50), the consistent message is clear: God qualifies the called. Trust Him, make yourself available, and watch Him work mightily through you.
Prophetic word: Do not despise your beginnings or the things that appear small in your eyes, for I am the One who chooses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. You are My chosen vessel, not because of your strength, wisdom, or qualifications, but because of My grace upon you. I have placed treasures within you—gifts, callings, and purposes that will shine brightly for My glory. Do not fear or doubt; step forward in faith, for I will equip you with everything you need. My Spirit will overshadow you, just as it overshadowed Mary, and you will bring forth what I have placed within you. The impossible will bow to My name, and through you, I will accomplish what eyes have not seen nor ears heard. Be courageous, for I am with you.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your grace that qualifies the unqualified and chooses the weak to demonstrate Your strength. Lord, I ask that You fill me with boldness, faith, and assurance that I am chosen by You. Let every fear, doubt, and limitation melt away as Your Spirit empowers me to do the impossible. Father, as You placed treasures in earthen vessels, reveal the gifts and purposes You have deposited in me. Just as Your hand was upon Elijah, David, and Mary, place Your hand mightily upon me. Use me for Your glory, and let my life be a testimony of Your power. Overshadow me with Your Spirit and let Your will be done in my life. In Jesus' name, I declare that I am rising into my calling, walking in divine purpose, and fulfilling everything You have destined for me. Amen.
