Make God your resort!

“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2

Make God your resort, your ultimate place of refuge and help, for He alone is steadfast and all-powerful. The psalmist declares, “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.” The Bible shows examples of individuals who made God their refuge and received divine help. Three nations, each of whom alone could physically swallow Judah, came against Jehoshaphat (2 Chronicles). He turned to God, and God told him, you will not need to fight this battle; the battle is mine (vs 15-17). When you turn to God, your battle becomes God’s battle.  Turning to God in times of trouble brings not just deliverance but also a transformation of situations, for God’s help is powerful, purposeful, and always on time (Isaiah 41:10-13).

Avoid the temptation to seek help from unreliable sources, as the Scripture warns, “Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god” (Psalm 16:4). Instead, follow the example of those like Hannah, who sought the Lord in her distress and was blessed with Samuel (1 Samuel 1:10-20). Trusting in God is an acknowledgment of His sovereignty and faithfulness; He never changes (Malachi 3:6). Jeremiah reminds us, “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things” (Jeremiah 33:3). When you make God your resort, you align yourself with the Creator who can meet every need, guide you through every storm, and fulfill His purpose for your life. Choose to make Him your help and rest, and experience the joy and assurance of His unchanging love.

Prophetic word: The Lord is your ever-present help and your unshakable refuge. As you lift your eyes to Him, He will not fail you. God is stepping into your situation today to bring divine intervention. Every mountain before you shall be leveled, and every valley filled (Isaiah 40:4). Where you have felt helpless, the Lord declares, "I am your help, your shield, and your exceeding great reward" (Genesis 15:1). This is your season of divine help. The Lord who helped Jehoshaphat, Hannah, and the Israelites will arise on your behalf. You will testify of His faithfulness, for His hand is stretched out to deliver you and fulfill His purpose for your life (Psalm 138:8). Fear not; God is your resort and will never leave nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:8).

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for being my refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. I declare that my eyes are lifted to You, the maker of heaven and earth, for You alone are my source of help. Lord, arise in Your power and intervene in every situation of my life. Level every mountain and fill every valley before me. I refuse to trust in man or any other source; my hope is in You alone. Father, strengthen my faith and grant me the grace to rest in Your unfailing promises. Let Your divine help bring breakthrough, healing, and restoration in my life. I thank You in advance for the testimonies I shall share. In Jesus' mighty name, I pray. Amen!
