“And David enquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and WITHOUT FAIL recover all.” 1 Samuel 30:8 KJV
As we step into May, don’t be afraid to pursue what God has asked you to pursue. God says to you: you will not fail (1 Samuel 30:8). This divine assurance fueled David’s courage and reminds us that when God leads, success is guaranteed. Likewise, the Lord instructed Habakkuk to “write the vision, and make it plain” (Habakkuk 2:2), encouraging us to be ready to run with our God-given vision, for “it will surely come” at the appointed time (Habakkuk 2:3). The apostle Paul exemplified this wholehearted obedience when he testified, “I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision” (Acts 26:19), and we too are called to act on God’s direction without hesitation, trusting that our obedience will lead to the breakthrough God has promised.
Don’t be intimidated by a Goliath or the Red Sea or even the Jericho walls; those flee at the presence of the Lord (Psalms 114:2-3). As we enter the month of May, be ready to go after the impossible to do the impossible because God says, you will without fail recover all.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Thank You for being the One who goes before me and makes every crooked path straight. As You spoke to David, You speak to me today: “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake and without fail recover all.” Lord, I receive this word with faith, and I cast out every fear, every doubt, and every voice of intimidation. Strengthen my hands to pursue the vision You have planted in my heart. Let every Goliath fall, every Red Sea part, and every wall of Jericho crumble before Your presence. I declare that this month of May is my season of movement, manifestation, and miraculous recovery. I walk boldly in obedience, knowing that You are with me and I will not fail. Let my steps be ordered by You, Holy Spirit. Let divine favor surround me, divine speed carry me, and divine wisdom guide me. I decree that I will testify of Your faithfulness, because what You have spoken, You will perform. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
