“Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.” Matthew 22:29 KJV.
A believer can live an error-free life if he or she is rooted in the Word of God and empowered by the Holy Spirit. As Jesus said in our text, “Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.” This shows that ignorance—both of divine truth and divine enablement—is the root of human error. When a man is ignorant of the scriptures, he walks in darkness and confusion, just as the children of Israel often erred in the wilderness because they did not remember the Word of the Lord (Psalm 78:10-11). But when the Word dwells richly in a person, he is guided by divine wisdom. The scripture is a reliable guide in every circumstance (Psalms 119:130). Joshua was told in Joshua 1:8 that meditating on the Word day and night would make his way prosperous and successful, free of error.
Beyond knowing the scriptures, one must also walk in the power of God. Jesus told His disciples in Luke 24:49 to wait for power from on high, and in Acts 1:8, He affirmed that “ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you.” It is this power that strengthens the inner man, enabling the believer to resist error and live victoriously. Even Jesus needed the empowerment of the Spirit to fulfill His earthly assignment (Luke 4:14). Similarly, Paul acknowledged that he ministered not with enticing words but in the demonstration of the Spirit and power (1 Corinthians 2:4-5). A faith-filled life—grounded in scripture and alive with power—is the secret to a life of divine accuracy, direction, and victory.
Prophetic word: Today, the Lord says to you: "I am bringing you into a season of precision and clarity. No longer shall you stumble in confusion or wander in error. I will open your eyes to behold wonders in My Word, and I will empower you by My Spirit to walk in truth and victory. As you seek My face and give yourself to the scriptures, I will release divine light into your path. The veil is being torn, the fog is lifting, and the spirit of error is broken off your life. You shall walk in wisdom, in revelation, and in the power of My might. You will be a vessel of accuracy, a beacon of truth, and a carrier of My presence."
Prayer: Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for the word today. I receive the grace to hunger for Your Word and to grow in the knowledge of the scriptures. Let every veil of ignorance be torn away from my heart and mind. Open my eyes to see, my ears to hear, and my heart to understand. Lord, fill me with the Holy Spirit and power—let Your supernatural ability flow in me and through me. I declare that the spirit of error is broken over my life. I walk in divine wisdom, discernment, and understanding. I live by faith, not by sight. I align with Your will, and I live in Your truth. From today, my steps are ordered by the Lord, and I will not miss my path. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
