Dealing with the spirit of failure (2)

“The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.” Ecc 10:15

The second thing to do in order to deal with the spirit of failure is to establish the strategy to achieve your goals. If you don’t know you can find out. You can read about it, research about it or find someone who can help you know. Adequate knowledge of what you should do to accomplish your goals will help you deal with failure.

“And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.” Luke 19:2-3
“And when David enquired of the Lord, he said, Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.” 2 Samuel 5:23

Despite the limitation of Zacchaeus and the fact that crowd were around Jesus, he strategized and successfully accomplished his goal to see Jesus. He climbed a sycamore tree. David never lost any battle because he would always ask God what to do to win the battles. People fail because they don’t know something they need to know about what they want to do.

May you know what to do to accomplish your goal in Jesus name.
Prayer for today: Oh God arise and show me what to do to succeed in Jesus name.

Dealing with the spirit of failure (1)

“And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.” Mark 10:51

The first thing to do in order to deal with the spirit of failure is to have specific goals. What do you really want? If you have not made up your mind on what you really want, failure is inevitable. God words says a doubter is not qualified to receive and also a man that does not know what he is looking for will be a wanderer on earth.

“But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” James 1:6-8
“And a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field: and the man asked him, saying, What seekest thou?” Genesis 37:15

Why would Jesus ask a blind man what he wanted? Perhaps he wanted to be helped with some money! What you don’t desire you don’t actually qualified to receive. You must sit down, think and make up your mind on what you want to pursue with your time, energy and strength. You can also ask God to reveal to you what He wants you to do with your life.

May the confusion around you be over forever in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: If I am pursuing a wrong goal, Oh God arise and correct me in Jesus name.

Possessing your possessions

“And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it. Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.” Numbers 13:27-28

Two things are important for you to take what belongs to you despite the presence of a giant: your covenant with God and your faith in His word.

Your covenant with God makes you His favorite and your faith in Him is your key to realizing the fulfillment of His promises in your life. The new covenant seal with the blood of Jesus actually places you in the same position with Jesus far above satan and his kingdom (Ephesians 2:6). That is why satan has to use the weapon of ignorance to cheat you of God’s promises. The people of Israel failed not because the covenant was not in place but because they doubted God. God's backing was there for them to enjoy but they chose to believe the giants. My beloved, never give up on anything that God has promised you. Bring down the giants that are challenging you and possess what God has given you in the name of Jesus.

When it seems that a battle is being prolonged and a victory is being delayed what you need to do is to ask God for the secret behind such battle and deal with it. Sometimes you may have to apply the power in the blood of Jesus to break unknown covenants and in that case declaring that “I belong to Jesus and I break every known and unknown covenant permitting enemy in my life by the blood of Jesus” may be necessary. When you have to do this, do it aggressively and with all boldness. I can assure you if both the covenant and faith are in place there is nothing that belong to you that you cannot possess.

I decree let the powers blocking your laughter be removed in Jesus name.
Prayer for today: I claim what God has allocated to me in Jesus name.

How to kill your fear

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32

Fear gives satan permission to intervene in your life just as faith gives God permission to intervene in your life. Job said in Job 3:25, “For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.” Fear is a product of the spirit of bondage, it paralyzes its captives (Romans 8:15). Fear is also a product of ignorance and unbelief (John 8:32; Mark 4:30).

Three things are necessary to kill the fear harassing your life.

1.    Change what you are hearing. Mark 5:35-36 says,” While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further? As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.” Ask God to speak to you concerning the situation causing you to fear. You cannot hear God and still be afraid.

2.    Change what you are seeing. 2 Kings 6:15-17,” And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.” Ask God to open your eyes to see what He has done concerning the situation causing you to be afraid.

3.    Speak to the spirit of fear to die. Mathew 18:18 says, “Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

I see the source of your fear drying up in Jesus name.

Only Believe!

“As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken he said unto the ruler of the synagogue, BE NOT AFRAID, ONLY BELIEVE” Mark 5:36

Whenever we don’t believe God for His word or we conclude that something is impossible, we hurt ourselves. The bible teaches that all things are possible and God demands for our “believing” to work out possibility out of impossibility (Hebrews 11:6, Mark 9:23).

The truth is that lack of belief is actually a belief in something. There is no true “unbelief” in life. Every unbelief is a belief in something, a belief in the negative, of what is expected or thought; a belief in the status quo; a belief in what is generally accepted to be the fact; a belief in what has always been will be; a belief in something contrary.

The miracle you desire may not have happened to someone you know before, only believe that God can create it for you. The problem may be running in your family, only believe that it will not get to you. The doctor or the expert may have told you that there is no hope, only believe that there is hope in Jesus Christ. Jesus needs an agreement from you, that is, you need to believe that He can help you. Every time a man exercises unbelief, it shows that he needs more information (Romans 10:17).

Jairus was told not to trouble the Master anymore because they thought the situation had become hopeless. The girl was dead and this to them was irreversible. Beloved, that was a belief!! Jesus told him, don’t believe that, believe me and a miracle will happen. Jairus chose to believe Jesus and he got his miracle.

I see great testimonies coming into your life; only believe.
Prayer for today: Oh God, let there be your intervention in all areas of my life in Jesus name.

If your faith says yes……

“When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.” Mark 5:27-29

If your faith says yes, God will not say no! Throughout the scripture, God never denied a man whose mind is made up; whose confidence is unbroken. See Hannah (1Sam 1), Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego (Daniel 3), Esther (Esther 4), Jacob (Gen 32). The woman with the issue of blood in our text received her healing after making up her mind to touch the helm of Jesus garment.

“Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.” Matthew 15:28

The story of the Canaanite woman in Mathew 15:21-28 is a powerful illustration of this truth. When she presented her request, Jesus did not answer her a word. Most people would have given up at that level, concluding that God is saying no or asking them to wait. This woman continued and the response of Jesus should have swept her off her feet but the woman’s confidence that she would receive her request was unbroken. Jesus concluded that her faith was great and gave her the miracle she desired.

Beloved, do you need a miracle, divine intervention, power of God or what? If your faith says yes, God will never say no!

This is your season of breakthrough, rejoicing and blessing in Jesus name.

The Humane Christian

“But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.” Matthew 9:36

Jesus is kindhearted. He was the manifestation of God’s love to humanity. A real Christian must be humane. He or she must be a channel through whom God’s love can be seen by people both Christians and non-Christians.

“Let brotherly love continue.” Hebrews 13:1
“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32

Jesus always responded to the need of people with compassion. An humane Christian is compassionate. An humane Christian will not steal or cause harm to another person. An humane Christian does not keep grudges, he or she quickly forgives. An humane Christian keeps the assembly of the people of God in unity and does not break them. An humane Christian puts the needs of others ahead of his or her own for the sake of Christ.

May the love of Christ be found in our hearts toward people so that they can see our good work and glorify our God in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God reveal myself to me and keep me in the envelop of your love in Jesus name.
