When the night is prolonged 3

“God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” Numbers 23:19

When the night seems to be prolonged, never let go of the fact that God is committed to His promises for your life. It does not matter how dark the night it, God has promised to arise upon you. This means you can enjoy light in the midst of darkness because you trust God and believe His promises. You can have joy even when it is still night.

“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.: Isaiah 60:1-2
“(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.” Romans 4:17-18

When Abraham was in his own nighttime, he kept on believing the promises of God. Eventually the night was over; he became the father of many nations as promised by God. Beloved, I see the promises of God coming to fulfilment in your life in Jesus name.

Let your nighttime expire and let your daytime begin in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God arise, let there be light in the midst of my thickest darkness in Jesus name.

When the night is prolonged 2

“And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him, And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.” Acts 7:9-10

Your strongest light in the darkness of the night is your assurance that God is with you. The patriarchs sent Joseph to the darkest night of his life. They sold him into slavery to put an end to his dreams. But the presence of God brought light into his life. God did not only bring him out of the darkness, He ensured the fulfilment of his dreams.

“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31
“And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.” Exodus 33:14

When you are sure of His presence, you have confidence that you will overcome and the night will be over. You need this confidence to be unshakable in the night of your life. His presence guarantees victory and rest in any situation we find ourselves. As a child of God, He has promised not to leave you or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5-6; Romans 8:28). All you have to do is to maintain your love for God and spend time with Him daily. Never allow the night to take you from His presence because that is your key for total turnaround of the situation.

Let your nighttime expire and let your daytime begin in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God let your presence be with me and give me victory in this night situation in Jesus name.

When the night is prolonged 1

“For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” Psalms 30:5

You don’t have to lose your joy in the nighttime of your life. You don’t have to weep throughout the nighttime of your life. You must always have this at the back of your mind, no matter how long the night is, it will expire! When the night is prolonged, you need light to keep your joy.

“And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.” Exodus 13:21-22
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalms 119:105

The word of God is a sure light in the nighttime of our lives. The word of God is God Himself. The first light you need is the assurance of God’s presence. The second light you need is God’s commitment to His promises for your life. The third light you need is your power to speak to your night and it will obey. The fourth light you need is the power of your obedience. The fifth light you need is the power of praise and prayer. The sixth light you need is the power of your expectation. The seventh light is that you must rejoice always. I will share each of these with you in the next seven days.

Let your nighttime expire and let your daytime begin in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God arise and deliver me from the power of the night in Jesus name.

Making news

“Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.” Daniel 3:28

When challenges come, you must see opportunities. Opportunity to make news, opportunity to make history, opportunity to experience victory and give testimony. This is called making lemonade out of lemons.

In order to do this, you must be willing to take up challenges that come your way trusting God all the way. Little challenges lead to little news; big challenges lead to big news if you have victory. If Goliath had killed David it would not have been a news. David killed Goliath and that was news, David made history. If fire roasted Zadrach, Meshack and Abednego, that would not have been news. But the fact that they went into fire without being hurt made news. You don’t make history by staying in the boat, but by getting on water and walking on it. There is someone reading my message this morning, God wants you to turn the present situation that is confronting you to news of testimonies.

Don’t change what you believe because your belief is being challenged. Don’t drop your faith when there is adversity, if you do, you will miss the opportunity to see the mighty hand of God. God wants to use you to display His power among the unbelievers. Don’t stay in the mud you have found yourself, get up and shine again. It is time to make news. It is time to make history. It is testimony time.

Arise and shine for your light has come in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Lord use me to display your glory and power among the people in Jesus name.

Your deliverance is certain

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.” Psalms 34:19

I may not know what you are going through right now, but one thing I know for sure, God shall deliver you from all your afflictions. He delivered Paul and Silas (Acts 16), He delivered Peter (Acts 12) and He also delivered Joseph (Acts 7) and David (1 Samuel 17). Your case will not be an exception; He will also deliver you.

“And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.” Acts 16:25-26

The source of the bondage or trouble does not matter because God is able to deliver all that trust in Him. The source is various for individuals but God is constant and has promised to deliver you. God will not leave anything out, He will deliver you from all your afflictions. Three things are important: ask Him to deliver you, trust that He has heard you and stop worrying about it, and do whatever He tells you to do.

Your testimony shall manifest speedily in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God arise and deliver me from all my afflictions in Jesus name.

God’s plan for you

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11

God is a good God. He is a trusted Father. More importantly, He is committed to His word and promises to you. Instead of evil, you can expect peace; Instead of failure, you can expect success. Always align your expectation with His plan for your life because His plan is good towards you.

“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” Mark 9:23
“And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.  But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.” Numbers 13:30:31

Now, you need to understand that you may actually experience a situation that seems to say that His plan will not come to pass. Never doubt God, but rather doubt the situation that is contrary to His plan for you. Be a Caleb and a Joshua who despite the presence of the giants they believed God and took the promised land. What God said to you will come to pass if you believe Him despite all odds.

I see your situation aligning with God’s promise for your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God I believe you will take me to my promised land in Jesus name.

Beyond the limits

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13

Nothing limits a man except the limit he sets for himself. To what extent are you willing to go? If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the fruit of the land. God can take you there if you are willing to go there. Paul said I can do ALL things through Christ who provides me strength. If you understand how to exchange your weakness for God’s strength, you can extend your limits.

“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” Mark 9:23

All things are possible for him that believes. If there is a will there will always be a way. The limit of your believing is the limit of your results. If you can believe a little more, you can see a little more results. If you say, you cannot, you have limited yourself. If you say you can, you have extended your limits. The moment you believe you can, heaven will back you up, and you will be able to dig into your thought realm to bring out actions step that will deliver the results.

Everyone was running away from Goliath until David who believed he could handle him arrived. He said in 1 Samuel 17:32, “And David said to Saul, Let no man's heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine.” This was what a believing David said. He went ahead to take stones for his sling and confronted Goliath. Who told him that a sling and a stone were enough to kill Goliath? He knew that a little instrument was enough to get a big result if you could believe in a big God. Genesis 11:6b says, “…..and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.”

Beloved, extend your limits, think big, believe big, take big steps; if it is in your heart, it can be in your hand.
Prayer for today: I am willing, I am walking in obedience, O God extend my limits in Jesus name.
